The fact that the Rockets were the closest NBA team to Louisiana before the Hornets came makes it okay to still be a fan of them over the Hornets.
Unless you live in Texas... its never okay to be a fan of any team in that state.

If you are you should be a fan of the Knicks not the Hornets.
If you are living in New York, going by your logic, you would say that the fans in Charlotte should still be Hornets fans and not Bobcats fans.

It's one thing to root for the Rockets over the Hornets if you were a lifelong fan before La got them (I still don't agree), it's another to hate your in state team and shite on their threads with every opportunity. It's not like the Hornets and Rockets were hardcore rivals, hell the Hornets were in the east until a few years ago.

Do you live in New York?
quote:You don't get it. I'm not from New York. You aren't to switch teams every time you move. You pick a team, and if it's your state's team, it's your team for life unless they move, in which case you're supposed to hate that team for life. The only people I've ever seen who don't understand this are former Nordiques fans who root for the Avalanche. Les Quebecois are pussies.

How did you draw that conclusion? The Hornets abandoned Charlotte. Charlotters are to hate the Hornets. Their team is the Bobcats. You have to be joking. There's no way that anything with a penis could be so ignorant regarding the rules of being a fan.

I've been a Rockets fan as long as I've been a basketball fan.

Are you really spouting this bull shite again. Why don't you worry about the team you root for and stay out of other people's shite.

If you're from Louisiana and you like the NBA, you're a Hornets fan. If you choose to root for another team, you are not a man.

How do I not know how to be a real sports fan?

My manhood is what has prevented from adopting a team that is full of a bunch of crybabies.

I'm a Hornets fan, xiv. But you're an idiot.

Then why would you become a fan of a team just because they move into your city?
Tons of people in LA are Astros fans, because they're the closest baseball team to LA. It was just like that here with the Rockets before the Hornets came. There's no problem with that since they're so close.
There's nothing wrong with being a Rockets fan in LA before and after the the Hornets showed up.
I think, as you want to believe, your oversized sports penis is getting in the way of your thought processes.

Why? What have the Hornets done to get unwavering support from 100% of Louisianians that live outside of New Orleans?

The Packers and the Rockets are equidistant from wherever the hell you are. They're both about 10 feet from you on your tv. And they're not your team if you're from Louisiana. If you're from Louisiana, you're a Saints and Hornets fan. If you root for any other team, it's because you are afraid of being a real man. Period.
Couldn't have said it better. I laugh at the image of a Rockets fan celebrating a playoff win at a bar in Baton Rouge. He'd be like "YEAH!!!!" and look for somebody to high five, but nobody else would really be paying attention.
Contrast that with the Hornets, where you can actually GO TO GAMES and most of your friends are fans as well. It's just a much more meaningful experience to root for your home team. I don't get how people can root for a team in a city where they don't live and didn't grow up.
