Couldn't have said it better. I laugh at the image of a Rockets fan celebrating a playoff win at a bar in Baton Rouge. He'd be like "YEAH!!!!" and look for somebody to high five, but nobody else would really be paying attention.

He'd be a douche if he was watching a game at a bar by himself. You do that shite?

What's the fun in rooting for a team that EVERYBODY you know roots for? I have a lot more fun with my friends who pull for different teams than I do with friends who like the same teams as I do.

Technically Boom grew up in the waterparks of Houston with his grandparents so I can see his love of all things Houston except for football in which he doesn't like Houston he likes the Dolphins. I can't explain that one

Again, you don't get it.

The Hornets essentially moved here TWICE. If you didn't get in the first time in 2002, than you sure as hell should have gotten in the next time in 2007.

The team moved back here after Katrina and embraced the city, the city finally got behind them and we had an amazing playoff run. It was as emotional and as intense as anything the Saints ever gave us. People who didn't even like sports were cheering on the Hornets in bars and restaurants. It was that deep.

If you didn't get that then personally I don't think you're much of a South Louisianian. That's just my 2 cents. It's your prerogative to cheer for one of the biggest rivals of your home state (all those black people from New Orleans who used to show up at the Dome in Vick jerseys 7 years ago come to mind), but you're a huge fricking moron in my book for doing it. And you are most definitely breaking sports man laws in terms of local team support.

I'm a fan of the Hornets from Baton Rouge.

But I don't give a shite who someone from Shreveport roots for unlike 14 who says they should all be Hornets fans even though they live 6 hours away from NO.

Shreveport is understandable. That's not Louisiana anyway - they walk, talk, and try to act like Texans up there. Baton Rouge is South Louisiana. The cutoff for me has always been Alexandria.

I havent had a true favorite NFL team for about 10 yrs, I figure it's time to pick one. Since the Stros and Rockets are already my teams, the Texans are the logical choice.
