I was waiting for someone to call him out. That would be over 2 rounds a day every day for a year.

I dropped a 125 yarder from the tee box one time, but it was my 2nd shot.

Dunno, but I can give you the numbers on a condor. Only four of those have ever been recorded.

For what it's worth, my dad played in a charity golf tournament a few years ago, where a Champions tour pro hit your tee shot on one of the Par 3s. The dude hit a hole in one for them. Said it was only his 3rd ever. Obviously, this guy isn't PGA good, but he plays a ton of golf, and he's pretty awesome.

When I got my hole in 1 it was 184 yards. The coolest part, it was in a 4 some and the scores were 1,2,3,4 in that order. I thought it was kinda funny.

assuming playing 2 rounds a week this is once every 28 years. That seems right.

i have played for 55 yrs and never made one. was a single digit handicapper for about 35 of those. i have come close too many times to count but that frickin' ball slides away or stops just at the lip. i have double eagled par 5's on 5 occasions and eagled par 4's a number of times so i'll just have to settle for that. damn par 3's.

The statistical probability is eschewed.

The more you hit doesn't mean the more chances you have at getting a hole in one. That's the ironic part of all this.

If anything, your statistical probability is diminished the more you try to h.i.o. it.

Only hole in one Harry Vardon ever made in his life was his first swing after being in a Tuberculosis hospital for 3 years

I've made two holes in one on the same hole, oddly enough playing with the same people both times.

(technically only one was a true hole in one. The first time, I topped a shot into the water, then aced it with my second for par.)

Funny...kind of like sinking a 60' putt to save a triple-bogey, which I did last week. My brother drained a tee-shot on a Par 3 once, on a 190 yd hole, with a 4 iron (the carry over water was about 180 yds)...unfortunately, it was for a 5!

My only "hole in one" ever was a par and I was playing solo so no one saw it anyway.

I guess the odds look reasonable. I've never gotten one. My father has gotten a couple. I think three or four
