I don't blame the HOF

If TO has a problem, don't do any media interviews with those who vote for HOF.

HOF has nothing to do with the voting, it's the writers/media/etc

After reading comments from Dan Fouts last year who was a voter for the first time, it was clear some of the voters were not voting objectively when it came to TO

You know how big of an a-hole you have to be to make TO seem like the reasonable one?

The HoF looks awful in this whole situation.

Petty, funny, idiotic, and mildly entertaining.

Both Owens and the Hall are being petty as frick. The Hall, by announcing this, is being both funny, idiotic, and mildly entertaining.

It seems possibly petty of them.

He's going into the HOF, they should acknowledge it. Even if he isn't there.. and it can be brief.

Why would they invest time in the ceremony for him, when he will not even attend? This is completely justified IMO.

Because the point is supposed to be about honoring the people who earn their way in. This proves even more that it's not.

The HOF enshrinement ceremony is a snooze-fest anyway.

I don't see the problem. His image is still all over the building with the rest of the class. It's not like he isn't being recognized at all.

He won't be there and he won't have any representation there, so there's no need to individually call his name at the gold jacket or induction ceremonies just for awkward applause. Or in Cris Carter's case, probably no applause.

I hope Randy Moss talks about him though. I have a feeling that he will have a sentence or two to say about him. Wide Receivers are a clannish lot.

TO had a greater career than at least 80% of the players in the HOF

If you want to be seen as a legitimate and respected organization, stooping to childish antics isn't smart.

Owens may be a jackass but getting down on his level doesn't do anything but damage yourselves.
