The notion that the AD has somehow conjured up this brilliant model for college football coaching via a CEO type coach is unfathomably stupid, and I'm surprised the board isn't calling his bluff.

Of course, but Arizona State wanted to hire a coach who would keep their current staff in place. Two weeks later, they lose both coordinators so their plans have gone to shite.

Hiring Herm Edwards should get the AD fired on the spot. I would be so pissed if Arkansas did something like this. Herm Edwards is John L Smith but without the interim tag or college coaching experience.
