The Devil's Digest guy can be the OC.

Herm's agent can be the DC.

Hire Edwards made me think they really didn't care about the football program anyways.

Which campus? That's the name of a statewide system.

Are you guys so triggered that you have to derail the subject of a thread because someone didn't call the school you're not even a fan of by it's official name in a tweet?

I just don't like when supposedly professional reporters report that a major college football programs ( ) Offensive coordinator has left for a position that doesn't exist.

I mean the guy did leave to become a head coach. It's not like he was screw it I'm just not coaching with Herm. I'm not excusing what is a questionable hire, but this isn't really a black mark either.

Yeah I'm not getting what the big deal is here.

Who's to say this Napier guy doesn't still take the job regardless of who the HC hire was? It's a promotion.

Well the thing is, it does exist. You know what school they were talking about. Maybe the name itself isn't valid in your eyes, but you knew the school being referenced. And you're just trying to stir shite because it bothers you so much for some reason.

The Herm hire was rank insanity.

First off, you don't start a coaching search by mandating that your incoming head coach keep the entire staff in place. That's a recipe for disaster for several reasons, not the least of which is the fact that head coaching candidates don't like their staffs being dictated to them.

Secondly, Herm himself was an egregiously stupid hire for all the reasons everyone has already rehashed over and over again the last week or so. Set aside the fact that he's pretty much only known the NFL, he wasn't even a good NFL coach. He's quite literally spent the last decade being a motivational speaker.

I'm surprised that ASU's board of trustees didn't try to block the hire. The notion that the AD has somehow conjured up this brilliant model for college football coaching via a CEO type coach is unfathomably stupid, and I'm surprised the board isn't calling his bluff.
