A bystander, Alexander Hart, rushed to help and according to the police report, when he arrived, he heard screams coming from the Toyota.
The driver was still alive, he told the police but he couldn’t pull her out, because she was pinned inside the SUV.
The Toyota “was soon overcome with smoke and heat from flames,” and Hart had to back away, according to the report.
I was really hoping she had been unconscious or killed on impact in the hopes she didn't have to suffer much. That has to be a horrible way to go.

Mistake (noun)
an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.
Say what?
Do you call it a mistake when you knew you were doing the wrong thing, or do you call it a bad choice?
I rest my case

His bail was set at $150,000. Personally I dont think he should get any bail after reading about the girl screaming as her car caught on fire. I literally have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes for that poor girl. You are not human if reading something like that doesnt affect you emotionally.

$150,000????? What a fricking joke.

I didn't want it to be true, but it does make me tear up knowing it is. All we can do now is hope the family gets justice.

The victim was identified as 23 year old Tina Tintor

A bystander said she was screaming while pinned inside and before he could help the car went up in flames and smoke.
Absolutely horrifying.
This better not be another Little or Stallworth situation. Ruggs needs to serve serious time here.

Killing some one while drunk can lead to zero jail time.
I personally know 2 guys who killed construction workers(before they created laws for minimum, for hitting a worker).
1 did jail that night of accident, and never saw a jail cell again.
Other did NO jail time(holding cell by youself, with cover and pillow, aint jail). Both got probation. Both were drunk as skunks. 2nd guy slept in holding cell by himself, till he could be bailed out in morning. Other did that 1 night, with others in a cell, no holding cell.

According to another poster, Nevada law says he must serve prison time.

The impact pushed the Toyota, which burst into flames, more than 570 feet before it came to a rest near the intersection of Spring Valley Parkway, the report states.
Even further than my estimate of 300 to 400 ft. Just hearing the screams from the video of The Station nightclub fire has stuck with me, can’t imagine what the bystander is going thru after seeing/hearing it in person

2 years min, 20 years max. I think he'll get at least 10 considering that Scott Gragson got 8 minimum and he was going nowhere near as fast as Ruggs.

He's going to get awhile because it'll be a high profile case but he's not high profile enough to get celebrity kid gloves treatment.

Need to put this on a billboard with the words “Should have gotten an Uber”

Her screaming while being burned alive will resonate with the judge. Hopefully Ruggs can somehow turn this event into a positive rather than wallowing in self-pity. Unfortunately, no matter how much good he does going forward I am not sure he will ever escape the knowledge of what he has done.

He should be tied to a post and the victims family should be able to ram a car into his body at 160mph.

He shouldn't be allowed to continue to live, he should be executed.

He will definitely get at least a decade (should be the max) and hopefully her family sues him for every single penny he has. They should actually get that going quickly so the POS doesn't try and sock money away.
Complete piece of shite scum.
