These guys all looked pretty good when playing together in the Olympics. Melo was a pretty good defender on the floor with lebron then, if nothing else this would be very exciting to watch and see what happened, the venom people on this board would spew would be top notch as well

Of course the Spurs will draft some dude from Croatia and beat them 4-2 in next year's finals.

What is interesting to me is that these guys would all take huge paycuts to win (you know the ultimate goal) and the large reaction has been "I hate the Heat."

I can't tell you how much I have been telling myself this.

I hope this happens and starts a trend in the NBA with about 5-6 super teams battling it out. You can get rid of trash franchises like TWolves, Bucks, Hawks, Magic, Cavs, Bobcats, Raptor, and forgetting a few others.

Chemistry just wouldn't work. Kind of like when the Lakers tried building the ultimate team: Bryant, Nash, Gasol, Howard. I really don't think Melo's ego would fit in a "big 4".

Take a look at who the coaches were at that time.

I think he wants a ring so I think he would quickly put that shite in check

Don't know about that. If they get International catch and shoot Melo, which LeBron would likely ensure, they would destroy defenses. Defense would be a different story, but they would figure it out. Only 11th on defense this year.

So you remove a majority of the burden off a SG who shot 56% this year from the field and add a volume scorer who does not run the break anywhere near efficient as Wade. Even this shell version of Wade is a better fit for Lebron than current Melo is. He cuts in the halfcourt, he runs, he creates turnovers. I think adding Carmelo is a joke for them. Why not add a Love or Gasol next year? Hell, for all the antics, if they wanted someone this year, I'd argue that Stephenson would be a great fit as opposed to Melo. LBJ/Wade could keep that clown in check. There's no need for a traditional PG on that team. Melo is a sexy name. That is it. They don't need him on the Heat. If anything, this would be LeBron and co. trying to hook up their boy into a ring.

TL:DR Melo doesn't guarantee a title as much as many seem to think IMO. Someone like Lance though would give me a heart attack and lose faith. Add a great defender who can run and provide some toughness or a legitimate outside shooter who isn't a one trick pony. OOF

I, for one, will look at Dwyane Wade in a totally different light if he chooses to opt-out and make 14 million next year instead of 20 million...

He isn't worth 20 mil any more. He may have been at one time but the dude is past his prime.

Gee I don't know if people would be ready for this, it's such a radical change from how it is today

I'm still not convinced that Bosh, LJB or Wade will take a significant paycut to get Melo. I think there will be other teams that will offer LBJ a contract that he won't be able to refuse.
