Lebatard was running the numbers today and Bron, wade and bosh would opt out then sign for $14 mil

Why would they take that discount when they're already winning titles??

If melo wants to sign for vet minimum then they might make it work

I don't know if the Heat would have made it out of the West this year, it certainly wouldn't be a foregone conclusion like it was in the East

The playoffs have been boring as hell to me until just recently because the heat haven't had any competition.

You do know that the NBA has two conferences, right?

And while that team would be stacked with talent and would be a contender yet again, Melo doesn't make sense for them at all. They oculd use a PG that isn't terrible, but since they're going to be playing Wade/Allen/Lebron/Bosh in crunch time, the money would be MUCH better spent on a rebounder/defensive center. If they could find a way to make it happen, Larry Sanders would actually make a ton of sense for them and Milwaukee would give him up for an expiring/cap space at this point. They have the vet leadership to get him to toe the line and he would be a perfect fit.

And one is a complete joke right now. The Heat's road in the East is a cakewalk.

Yea it was less than a month ago that the majority of posters on here were picking the Pacers to come out of the east.

After last year, the argument was put forth by many pundits that the pacers would beat the heat this year if they got home court. Not so much

The majority? Most rational people knew the Heat were beating the Pacers.

Anyone with common sense who watched the Pacers after the All Star break knew they weren't beating Miami.

No they weren't.

Before the all-star break yes, but not since then

The Pacers were a dumpster fire after the break

Posters also typically lack rationality when discussing the heat.

This move would probably take the fun out of NBA basketball for a few years.

Sounds like an awful idea.

Even LeBron can't make Melo a team player.

Shite man. why don't the heat add Kobe, Derrick Rose, Carmelo, and Kevin Durant too. Make an allstar team capable of scoring 120 points a night. Then the team can win 10 straight titles and Lebron and his homies can be the greatest of all time. frick Michael Jordan.
