They hung a banner for the in season tournament and are floundering fighting for a play-in game spot.

The Lakers and Indiana are both 8th in each conference currently.

Still not as big as the size of those $500,000 checks.

Probably LeBron’s idea to hang that stupid banner. Him wearing the ski goggles like he just won a real championship was embarrassing. Him and his fan boys want so badly for him to surpass MJ that they’ll try and add anything they can.

So what? Why's that an issue?

There’s worse banners up elsewhere, to be fair

You don’t think the league insisted on it in an attempt to legitimize this new idea?

A) Why wouldn't they hang one?
B) It's pretty much understood that the league pushed them to hang it

Those 1990s Pistons squads would have chewed LeBron up and spit him out.

MJ would have played until he was 60 with the way defense is played in today's NBA.

If LeBron played in that era he might have been even better than he is now given his size.

Having those defenses lean on him and play defense that was allowed back then would have worn him down physically.

shite, every NBA betting total in today's NBA is 215-250.

The Pels should hang a banner for being #1 in the West in December last year. After that and then missing the playoffs is why I couldn't get myself to give 2 shits about that tourney even when the Pels got to the semis. Just regular season games with window dressing

If LeBron played in that era, he would have come up in that era. Not today's era.

Zone defense wasn't even legal for the majority of MJ's career GTFO with this

Seriously? It was a tournament that was fun to watch but it was a handful of games and they beat the current 7th and 8th seeded teams in the semi's and finals to win it. It wasn't a huge accomplishment.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted the Pels to win it and I want the Pels to hang a banner badly, but I would have even laughed if the Pels had done it, much less the Lakers who have a ton of actual championship banners hanging. There's not really a whole lot of bragging rights that go along with an in season tournament win.

Lake show does not have a good roster.

Outside of the top 2, all of the other starters are below average starters for their position. reeves is one of the top 6men, but the rest of the bench leaves a lot to be desired. They need to make a move.

Winning the NBA in season tournament is equivalent of Elon Musk finding spare change under his sofa.
