Hell, I'm about to go read that lacrosse thread.
If anything what’s wrong with Lacrosse?

It was a better play, but the Statue of Liberty won the game. The hook and lateral gave them that opportunity. I think viewing the plays in tandem, as is usually done, is the right way to appreciate them.
Disagree. If Boise had lost the game after leading most of it at the end with that terrible INT by Z...people would have said, see little guy can't pull it off. They were outmatched in the end.
The hook and lateral tied the game in the final seconds and gave Boise back its respect - even if they were to lose in overtime.
They didn't need to win the game after the hook and lateral - but the ending would have been so sour to lose in regulation on a bunch of horrible plays.
The hook and lateral was everything. Even if they lost in OT, people would have given them the same props.
If they had lost in choking fashion in regulation, we probably wouldn't be supporting the small schools as much saying they can play with the big boys.

But whats the point in playing at both places if you’re going to give somebody home field in OT?
I do know enough about to soccer to know how their OT works.
Away goals carry more weight. If Liverpool and Barcelona ended the 2nd leg tied at 3-3 but Liverpool scored one of their 3 goals on the road while Barcelona scored all 3 goals at home, then Liverpool would win.

I dont even think that qualifies as a "trick play"
The other team just fell completely asleep.

Kick 6 if you can call it a trick play
Sends Auburn to Atlanta and the national title game in a game where Bama led by 14 in the 4th and would’ve been going for a three peat had they won.

I’ve seen a lot of football in my day, but I still can’t believe what I’m witnessing. Barcelona have now been outscored 17-2 in their last 8 UCL knockout matches away from the Camp Nou. Staggering. #LIVBAR #LIVFCB
It can also be said that Barca was expected to choke.

Holy shite as if I couldn't hate divegrass anymore. What a fricking gay way to regulate a sport.

Was wonderful, but not a trick play or misleading in any way.

I don’t think what Liverpool did at all was a trick play
Caught Barcelona napping.
Auburn’s kick 6 wasn’t a trick play, ran it back and Bama was definitely not paying attention

It's pretty basic soccer stuff. Understandable that you don't know it, but you also chose to comment in a soccer thread.

There is also a whole board for circle jerking soccer where you can be in a safe space away from the meanies who don't like it.
I post a little on soccer board.
I saw this msb thread and joined in. I get a laugh out of people who need to loudly proclaim their provincialism.
