It's because some coaches are better at game planning with a month, but struggle to keep the momentum a week later. UW was completely unprepared for Michigan's DL.
The expanded playoff will be interesting because of that.

This. College football can’t decide what it wants to be. It’s hanging to the laws of the NCAA, while also trying to be a baby NFL. I’ve never seen a sports league so out of wack.

The semis were about as good as you can hope for. The final sucked but not much you could do about it.

Agree, even down to the postseason games. The semis really felt like classic bowl games while tonight felt like an RC-cola Super Bowl.
