I think Garic is just dumb and doesn’t want facts to complicate things for him.

Perfectly written article!
Take note Kristian Garic and other reporters... you sure could benefit from this philosophy and approach to journalism!

You want to bad mouth Kristian yet everything you've been posting lately has been spoonfed to the Houma outlets by VC and their very own Martin Folse. A huge VC donor and alumni.

Martin Folse is a dick bag

Parents posted pictures on Facebook this week of younger brother playing in his TPR game this weekend. Are they retarded?

I have not spoon fed HTV anything.. However, I do believe what Martin has presented have been factual documents. Houma Times has reported as well and I do not believe they have ANY ties to VCHS... nor have I spoon fed them anything. The LHSAA documents came out in the law suit that the Robison's filed. Prior to that, those documents were not available to the public, except Garic did have a copy of them that he was reading from.... Not sure who spoon fed him?

PS
VCHS administration has not been able to discuss anything, as mandated by the diocese. Fr Toups (represents the diocese) did have a very benign interview with HTV before the lawsuit.
Your statement is unsubstantiated, just like Mr. Garic's have been. Rumors and stories without facts. I believe HTV's commentary specifically said to wait for the facts, which were reported when the lawsuit was filed. I believe the lawsuit is public record.

Maybe....But it was FACTS
Something Garic never worried about reporting. Now that the facts are coming out, we will see how it plays out. I would think, that it won't go in the kid's favor

Exactly, Martin Folse is a dick, but it's not like he's just been speculating like Garic. He's been posting signed & dated documents from the Robison family.
He also shared the LHSAA findings report for everyone to see, when Garic "claimed" to also have a copy but every time anyone asked him to share it he claimed he was too busy.
Hahnville is lucky they didn't get hammered harder for the AD signing the falsified document claiming Drew Robison was a coach there.

If everything coming out, now, is accurate.
Why did Hahnville fight so hard, knowing they'd screwed up? Best defense is a good offense, then see what happens?
Same for Drew Robison, it appears he knew the rules and broke them anyway as sushi has constantly said.
There is no winner, here. None.

Your first mistake is thinking Garic is a journalist...

I think the hahnville ad is clear of any wrong doing.
I also think there is still some stuff that hasn't come out and it may not.
Those blaming the lhsaa are blind... For years everyone wanted enforcement
Even though it's slippery owl shite eventually hits the ground...

I heard it was moved to Monday.

The Advocate dropped a little update Frady night.

Cliff notes:
Hahnville proposed a deal but the LHSAA executive committee said no dice and Hahnville is still pushing arbitration.
So, LHSAA filed their response to the TRO and suit in anticipation of Monday’s hearing moving forward.
Opinion
I just have feeling that the LHSAA will drag this out until Hahnville is no longer a threat to make the playoffs (which is almost there with the loss to Terrebonne) and then someone at the LHSAA will change their tune and let the kid play.
If I was in Hahnville’s shoes and wanted the moral high ground with nothing to lose (no playoffs and knowing to have to forfeit any game he plays in), I would let the kid play anyway and tell the LHSAA f—- off and we will take the forfeit and any fine you give us.
On another side, I believe coaches have to attend training on student eligibility and recruiting dos and don’ts. Do they make the players do the same so that they can avoid situations like this with the undue influence as was described? Maybe the kid would have never asked for the jersey or opened his mouth that he was going to Hahnville until the time was right.
My other issue is that if it was known that this kid was moving in May. Why were all the LHSAA forms not filled out until August?

In this case, one of the parents was a multi-sport high school coach who should know LHSAA rules. And the main issue for Robison isn’t the jersey, it is the residency form:
And with the recent revelation of the Robison’s signed and dated TPR paperwork that they lived in Houma on August 19 so their younger son could play football in Terrebonne, it seems pretty obvious what took place.
The parents signed and dated one form claiming residency in St. Charles so the older son could play football there. And they signed and dated another form claiming residency in Terrebonne so the younger son could play football there.
As Choupiquesushi said awhile back “Game...set...match” for LHSAA.
I think everyone will admit that the LHSAA needs to be more consistent and maybe make some changes. But in this case, they got it right. It sucks for the kid. But you just can’t do what he and his parents did.
quote:
A document filed by LHSAA attorney Mark Boyer in advance of Monday’s scheduled 1 p.m. hearing in Hahnville’s 29th Judicial District states that an LHSAA investigation found that Robison’s parents “intentionally falsified the LHSAA Residency Form for the purposes of establishing athletic eligibility for their son.”

Boyer also refuted Friday a WWL Radio report that stated the LHSAA was in “negotiations with the Robison family.” Boyer responded by text, saying “The LHSAA is not interested in a settlement or a resolution.”

False.
The LHSAA and the value of teaching athletes that everyone is subject to rules won.

Nope. It’s the fact that he participated in Spring Practice while enrolled in another school. There is no argument to defend that.
