Salt is a pretty good teacher as well. I'm pretty sure he has a masters in education.

What offense did hahnville run? Will they run the veer now?

Just read the rest of the post. It doesn't have to be an elite program to be successful running option. You just have to be above average so you can use all it's tricks.

It'll take a few years for them to be successful running the option. As stated before, WM starts running it in 6th grade. Curtis probably in flag. Takes time for those reads to become instant.

The only thing better than watching a great vear offense is watching a defense that can stop it.

I think a high school football head coach gets the highest stipend. So it's possible that it could be that high.

Athletic director gets the highest stipend. That's why typically the head football coach also gets that title. To maximize their money and to bring in the best coach.

Very shortsighted hire. Coach Salt has made no secret that he wants to get back into a private school eventually. He is also bringing his OC with him and they are going to try and run the option at Hahnville. Have fun with that.

Lmao....
He can have anything at Hahnville that he could get at a private school. Their booster club is top notch and they also have a ton of talent at the school. The program had gotten stale under Valdin. It was time for a change. Hahnville is one of the premier jobs in the state, Salt won't be going anywhere unless he's fired, retires, or takes a college gig.

Bad hire IMO , word is that EJ had fired him bc he never disclosed he was applying.

So that would be a problem left at EJ. Don't see how that would make him a bad hire.

IMO someone who does something like that and goes behind a schools back then I wouldn't want anyone like that around my program, just my opinion.

Yes, looking out for ones self interests should be frowned upon.

It's different if he was offered the job vs his actively applying for it, no?

A bit, but only a fool would bring it up until you were hired. Why bring strife when there's no need? Rarely do these coaches leave the same day. They typically finish out the semester at the school they're currently at so the school still has plenty of time to replace him. Now if they got all pissy and fired him, that's on EJ.

I prob wouldn't tell them if I applied either, but I could see some people having a problem with it. Especially coming off the season they just had
