Ok here’s the deal with Rogers.... he is a great QB, however he had a chance to score by running the football himself on that last third down they had. The whole right side of the end zone was wide open and he only would have run like 10 yards.... he has done this before and would have scored easily, however he tried to force a throw to his guy who was triple covered.... Yet everyone wants to blame the HC for going to a FG instead of letting Rogers have one last play..... what went on those last two plays is more on Rogers than the HC.......

After what they gave up for the pick, idk how you trade more Players and picks for a QB.

I wonder what else in terms of picks and players was proposed.

If it was a healthy ransom and still didn’t move the needle for GB it makes the Love pick look even more ridiculous which is hard to imagine.

It is more likely that the Packers are shopping Jordan Love at this point

I would be so fricking irate if they did this. I was told by all the Packers talking heads that "they got their guy of the future", it was a great pick despite the fact it did zero to help a team with Super Bowl aspirations, etc etc...so now I'm supposed to believe he's suddenly NOT the future (I never thought he was) and has any trade value after virtually every team in the league passed on him and he wasn't good enough in year 1 to even suit up for a game?! fricking kidding me?

HE COULDN'T BEAT OUT TIM BOYLE ON THE DEPTH CHART.

I mean if you think about it, the number 3 pick isnt as valuable if you arent looking to draft a qb. Getting Jimmy G isnt that great of a trade piece for a team that has already drafted jordan love. If you're green bay and Rodgers is gone ,you arent signing any kind of bridge qb considering hes already had that and learned a lot last year.

That play was broken down 10 ways from Sunday and him scoring was not a sure thing. I had no problem with taking the field goal. Going for it would've required a 4th down conversion on a condensed field and a 2 pt conversion. If either of those fails, you need to get another stop anyway. That loss was on the defense, as is tradition despite us using an insane amount of draft capital on it the past 10 years.

Kevin King doesn't get torched for an inexplicable 40 yard TD on the last play of the first half and that game looks a lot different.

If LaFleur told Rodgers "this is four down territory, so you have two plays to get 8 yards", he probably would have run on that 3rd down play. He wouldn't have scored but would have gotten 4-5 yards.

I'll just first say,if you watched that play again and think he was easily going to score, then you dont have a grasp on the speed of the game . Hell,it would have been hard to score from where he was against high school players, much less nfl guys.
Those nfl players close on you so fast its unreal.

Also,I think the league mvp has a better feel for that situation then a guy on the internet who has a career batting average of about .050 on his sports takes/predictions.
In other words ,you said it yourself, hes done that before ,so it would make sense that he would know whether or not he could make it . If you watch his eyes, you can tell he thought about it.

He could have scored with ease.... he was already running that way and any kind of pump fake would have froze the defense. But ok I’ll play, let’s say somehow he gets tackled at the two yard line. Do they go for a FG then????? Bottom line is that he threw into triple coverage when he could have made a possible great play... IMO that’s why they lost the game.
