I’ve always liked Spieth, but let’s pump the breaks a bit.

First lead/co-lead after 54 holes since 2018 Open. (931 days)

His putting has been fine. He developed a two way miss on the driver, which is devastating for a pro.

He is back from that

That coupled with a truly abysmal run of putting inside 5 feet kept him from being able to put 4 days together without playing himself out of it on at least one of the days.

Even on days he was feeling it, he’d still unexpectedly fly off the rails on the tee box a couple times, then miss a few short putts that he’d need to post a score. And obviously his bad days were terrible.

Hoping he plays good tomorrow, doesn’t have to win just play good and contend.

Whoever had Jordan Spieth, Keegan Bradley, and Steve Stricker in the top 5 late Saturday this week should probably buy a lottery ticket tonight or is a time traveler from like 6 years ago

He hit 7/14 fairways today and got two extraordinary bounces into greens. He had a great day but he’s got to get through tonight and wait til late tee time. And Louie and Xander are both playing lights out.

But I’m rooting for him.

I hope so. Golf needs Speith at the top of his game.

He also used to be the best iron player in the world. He’s been below average the last two years in iron play.

Because the other top players have the personality of a wet napkin.

Brooks, DJ, JT, etc. aren't getting people to tune in.

Golf Boys jinx

Jordan’s 2015 run was an amazing year. When he slipped he did not have a pitty party, curse, throw clubs....he has worked to get back.

Can he make it Sunday? Who knows...but golf is better with Jordan.

He hasn’t been on top this late in a tournament in a longgg time.

He was literally in the final group in 2019 Charles Schwab Challenge and shot a +2

He hasn’t had a lead or co-lead after 54 holes since the 2018 open.

Being in the final group and being the co-leader isn't the same thing...

Speith isn't even the best Texas Longhorn in the final group today.
