If I can have Rivera in the pen, I'll take 7 innings of Pedro. Failing that, the Big Unit or Bob Gibson.

Then I guess he'd allow 1 earned run over 6.1 innings. When your failure is the time you had 1.42 ERA, you're sort of awesome. His career WS ERA is 0.99.

Pedro, in his prime, had arguably the best stuff off all-time. As far as his pitch repertoire, all his pitches were out pitches. He was pushing 100 mph with the fastball. Best circle change the game has ever seen. His slider was sharp and had a knee-buckler of a curve

Pretty much in the dead middle of the steroid era when runs were being scored at a historic pace. I'm a Braves guy and would love to say Maddux, but for one game - give me Pedro

And he had Little Pedro. That gives him the edge.
