That's pretty much known at this point, these are really just livery previews more than anything, none of these teams trot out their actual cars and give competition a peak at any new aero tricks.

I think the sprint races showed the strategy of allowing the change for the race.
The only teams that the previous rule hurt were those who qualified 8-10. So it worked against teams who did better in qualy, which is the opposite of what should be happening.

I can't help but be reminded how industrial low cylinder count turbo engines sound. Nothing like the glorious V10s when Renault played God Save the Queen and We Are the Champions with a little throttle magic.

The only F1 race I've attended was during the V10 era. As impressive as the buzzin hornets were, that was never my favorite race engine sound. While I've always been mostly an open-wheel race fan, my favorite engine sounds have come from IMSA. Attending an IMSA race is a great opportunity to hear many different engines. My favorite race engine sound has always been the Corvette pushrod V8 (I last attended a race in the C6 era). The worst race engine I ever heard was the V8 in the Panoz LMP-1, the weird open cockpit car where the driver sat near the back. Also, I thought the Ferrari F360 V8 sounded awful. So the V8 is responsible for both my favorite and most hated engine sounds.

I hope you know you will go to petrolhead hell when you die talking about a 3.6L flat-plane crank from the hallowed halls of Maranello like that. While only the road version of the Challenge car never forget Clarkson said of the 360CS while testing it: "I'd like to consider Ferrari as a scaled-down version of God"

BTW I do understand why some are captivated by the sound of low revving long stroke OHV V8s but they don't how the fury I like to associate with motorsport.

I love me some thundering big inch V8's, but a F355 with Tubi exhaust is hard to beat on sound.
Some minivan's are likely quicker in a straight line today, but that sound is awesome.

I get it, F1 fans love the sound of the V10 and V12 F1 engines with the insane redlines.
Despite following F1 since the early 90s, those ear-splitting revs have never been my favorite. Regarding the F360, listening to a YouTube video won't convey my experience. I'm talking about standing right next to the track and viscerally feeling the vibrations from these engines. I found it unpleasant.
I'm not referring to the Challenge car, but the car entered in the IMSA GT class (Risi Competizione). I don't know how they compared to the Challenge car. My favorite engine sounds of all time come from V2 Ducatis, so yeah, throaty is what I like.

The car that surprised me with it's sound was the Alfa Indycar way back around 1990. Even built to the same restrictive limitations it sounded different than the others and sounded Italian.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they all did this, none of them are really giving up any big secrets and so these are all pretty much livery reveals. I don't need the show and spectacles and driver interviews and fans asking questions over Zoom. I get they do it to build up hype but I don't care for it all.
With that said there are some notable differences over the model car. Not my image, so I'm aware the arrow for the triangular intake is actually pointing to the driver's headrest.
The front wing is also a much higher arch as well.
ETA: Those side pods are FAT and extend out much farther than the model car.
