This should get some panties in a bunch. Masterclass - Lewis Hamilton teaches a winning mindset

Hamilton. It's going to take a miracle for Red Bull and Max to win this.

1.) The Merc is just better than the Red Bull right now. Ever since Brazil its been dominant.

2.) Bottas is a better #2. Checo actually hasn't done shite the last few races to help Max.

3.) Lewis is fricking with Max right now and its clearly working. Max needs to get it together mentally.

4.) The track seemingly is setup better for the Merc with the straights and the soothing out of the turns.

I really think it will take a miracle for Red Bull to win. This is like a 99.8% Hamilton lock.

I just hope both of them have fun.

Kidding of course. As much as I want to see Max win I think this is Hamilton's for the taking. Barring a miracle the Mercedes has just had so much better race pace these last few races. No matter the outcome I think we all have to admit that this has been a fantastic season.

No doubt.

When looking over the entire year I think this might be the closest we see to these two drivers having 'equal' cars.

Also think Lewis is now past his prime and Max hasn't made it to his yet.

Unrelated note but I think we're going to skip going to any races in 2022 and maybe try to make another in 2023. However, for research purposes I checked on hotels. We were able to book our hotel for COTA in Downtown Austin back in April when we bought tickets for $190/night. The exact same room is now $340/night. I wouldn't be surprised to see ticket prices for COTA go up as well given how well Miami is selling at much higher prices.

Barring Checo pulling a Bottas and taking out Hamilton, Hamilton will win... Has the momentum and can't seem to do anything wrong at this point.

Begs the question, RBR have to know the writing is on the wall.

Do RBR go for a new engine or entire PU and set it to 11? Take the penalty and just let Max try to run him down?

For Merc then it isn't about winning, it is about finishing ahead of the other.

Just to have another team fighting Mercedes for the title has made it the most entertaining season in the hybrid era. Ferrari was giving them a good run a few years ago until Vettel slid into the wall at Hockenheim. (And Vettel never was the same after that.) And now, just when we're starting to get some parity in the field....they're going to change the formula. I'm not against it, it's needed but it just seems like bad timing.

Saw someone reason the parity is because of the formula change.

Merc had more focus on next year combined with a RBR commitment to 2021 since Merc was going to struggle with the 2021 formula change.

If the big change was not coming all of Merc's focus would be on 2021.

They did mention that this could also mean less development on the Merc and RBR 2022 cars. Which is really good for parity.

That's an interesting take. I guess we'll find out next year.

It just seems sometimes like F1's rules are perversely designed to prevent parity. They change the formula, one team gets it right and dominates for a while then the other teams figure it out just in time for another formula change.

Would love for this maximum chaos ending:

Lewis finishes 9th
Max finishes 10th + fast lap
Lewis beats Max at Yas, but Max wins the WDC by tiebreaker.

Maybe Mazepin wins the GP for good measure

Hamilton. Pardon the pun, but Hamilton and Mercedes are firing on all cylinders right now. It took them a little while to get back up after taking a beating in the first couple rounds of the fight, but they finally answered.

Truth be told, I'd prefer he wins so he gets the record. I've been torn all season who I'd prefer win, and I'd be fine with either, but I think I really want to see Hamilton get eight championships. Love him or hate him, he's good at what he does. Damn good. He deserves his record.

Plus, if he gets eight, hopefully he'll retire after next season and we can all move on

So much chatter right now about Todt returning to Ferrari.

Going to be interesting if true.

Gotta be Hamilton, that engine has been a fricking world destroyer. It just seems inevitable.

I can def see Max pulling a strategic punt, especially with how hard they were going at each other at Jeddah

Christian Horner interview: ‘Max Verstappen will not resort to crash tactics – he’s a better driver than Lewis Hamilton’

Did you expect Horner to say Max was going to continue driving erratic and push other drivers off the track?
