When I see his head compressed under the weight of the wheel/tire and car on top of the halo I don't doubt that he has a good bit of neck pain.

Dude is lucky to be alive. The halo helped but the tire was right on his head.

The other tire was spinning, Hamilton is lucky that side wasnt doing a burnout on his head.

May have saved Hamilton’s life.

Fun race today. Really fun except for the train the last several laps.

I'm starting to not like Verstappen as much. He seems very entitled. He has no patience whatsoever. We have seen him crash out so many times without taking anyone with him, im getting tired of him and Hamilton scrapping honestly.

They can keep scrapping for all I care as long as McLaren benefits and we get quality reactions from Bottas like yesterday.

Max has rarely been likable.

His fandom online from idiots who weren't aware of the sport until recently is also toxic as hell.

Max doesn’t pretend to be anything but someone who wants to win.

It’s welcome in a day and age when everyone is so transparently fake. Posturing for causes they care nothing about. Pretending not to be competitive. Pretending not to be ruthless.

Lol DTS really pisses you off. I’m sure you like to tell everybody how much of a fan you were before it too. Who do you give your permission to root for?

Very good. I was too young to know how actually shitty Ferrari was when he decided to join and bring them back. Pretty incredible piece of accomplishment for him and he's probably a major reason MERC is back to what they are.

The skiing accident truly is a tragedy. Spend a huge portion of your life driving 200mph, without serious incident, only to have everything taken away from a skiing accident, while wearing a helmet.

His rain drives are absolute GOAT.

As far as fake causes? Easily Hamilton.

All pro-environment yet drives for one of the biggest petroleum companies in the world, posts videos of him on a gas powered boat while talking about the environment and carbon footprint. He's a douche.

Here's a good summary

Hamilton isn't the only pro-environment driver. Perez and Vettel have both been active in their pro-environmental agenda messages. Think Hamilton and Vettel both claim to be carbon neutral in their lives now.

Like Kimi said though, he definitely thinks everyone should reduce their carbon footprint, but F1 is an odd place to take a stand.

Similar to all the equality BS then going racing in Saudi. Or being bought by the Saudi's if you believe one rumor.

It’s really weird how anyone that started watching F1 after DTS can instantly see thru the “mystique” that has been created around Sir Lewis.

But the long timers for whatever reason just accept it and then make fun of others for being a max fan. They call out max for doing the aggressive driving that Lewis is known for. He’s unlikable? Like how? And to who? He unapologetically wants to win. And his fans grow daily.

While lewis looks down on people over his BLM face mask.

But because I started following racing only Three years ago, I don’t get it.

Right.

People like and dislike drivers for a myriad of reasons. Could you imagine Seb getting boo'd over and over? Happened though when he was winning with RBR. People chose their particular reason for not liking him.

At one time it was said that Ocon is almost universally unliked by the rest of the grid.

Lewis is covered/loved by the British media, which is the media we get here in the states. We aren't British so have no loyalty to him, so the worship shite gets old quick. The same will probably happen with GR and LN if they start consistently winning.

If you have a favorite driver try to find articles from their home country and usually you will enjoy the angle of the stories better.

I've grown to like Max more and more since he started backing up his aggressive driving style. Before he was just slamming into drivers trying to pull off moves that the car wasn't capable of. Thought he was going to be the second coming of Jos.

I hated Max initially, especially seeing him in Season 1... But he has grown on me by backing his shite up.

Hamilton is a great driver, but the uproar from his bullshite isn't' about cockiness, its about being a hypocritical, virtue signaling douchebag. And whenever he does something magnanimous and you think "hmm, maybe he isn't that bad" he turns around and screws it all up with his shenanigans.

I couldn't remember if he was wearing a helmet or not. Figured there was a chance he wasn't based on how lax European skiing is compared to over here.

All the places I've been to in North America are coddled and soft compared to the alps and their "go for it/you're on your own" mentality.
