Oh no, not a tribute for a beloved actor who died suddenly at a young age.

Hamilton is now just two wins from equaling Schumacher’s record 91 wins.

Watched my first race 2 weekends ago and watching practice, qualifying, and the race this morning.

The speed and the tracks can only compel me for so long before the lack of competition ultimately drives me away (pun intended).

Has there always been a dominant driver or team that completely runs over the rest of the field?

Jesus, yes, mostly.

The fact that some of you are complaining about the only racing going on is for P4-17, as if that isn't enough, is more than enough to indicate that some of you have no idea about the sport you're watching.

You can do FAR worse than the generally good F1 product the 2020 season has offered so far.

Not always, but Merc has just dominated this era and everyone is mad at Merc instead of mad at every other team for being shite.

In the last 15-20 years there has been little surprise on who wins the championship, but there has been years with better racing.

Fwiw, when Seb was winning all his championships with Red Bull he was hated along with the team.

Never like this. There's usually a dominant team in F1 but this run of dominance is unprecedented. Not just in terms of yearly dominance but the length of this run will last about a decade at least. There's basically an upgrade freeze for next year and then an engine freeze for like 3 years after that.

Comparing them to recent dominant teams

Ferrari from 99-04 won 62.3% of races
Red Bull from 10-13 won 53.2% of races
Mercedes from 14-20 won 74.2% of races (95 out of 128 and counting)

I think the racing is only going to get worse with the elimination of engine modes.

I agree. Mercedes has probably the most reliable engine on the grid at this point. They can probably afford to use a higher mode than everyone else and keep from blowing up.

Next week at Monza qualifying might be the most humiliating experience for Ferrari in my time watching F1. It'll probably be

Very likely, but Latifi is in middle of that as well.

I think Max walked off the podium after about 5 seconds of champagne spraying.

Not sure if they had been doing the group photos this year.
