Hannagriff seems like he's going to rotate hosts, but they seem to have a pretty tight posse of media guys they like Ponamsky, Culotta, the tiger rag guys, etc.

i love how every sports station here constantly makes the same mistake. starts off with mostly national and just a few local shows. then slowly lets local take over.

from what rag said it looks like if 104.5 wanted to have another local show there hand was forced on the time slot. 11-1 isn't bad, it cuts off the last hour of Cowherd which is usually just him repeating the same crap from earlier in the show and you still get 2 hours of SVP, except on days when Kevin Ford and his shitty infomercial for Bowie Outfitters comes on.

I remeber listening to Rene Naddeau and Papa Joe Chavalie on that same station.
That would be 1280 a.m. in New Orleans, not 1210 in Baton Rouge. Papa Joe Chevalier and the Sports Buffet!! Saw him live at Stonebreaker's TJ Ribs in Metairie in like 1993 or 1994, have an autographed picture hiding away, somewhere.
Dave Garrett really resented the fact that he had to have both Jim Henderson AND Archie Manning in the booth with him. It lasted only two years.
Rene Nadeau was the "hardest working man in radio" those two years. He got many great interviews for his noontime broadcasts.

Garrett had a little problem with drinking and waking up in the morning back then .. He overslept a UNO Sun Belt Tourney broadcast and got canned before the end of his second season because overslept a Saints pre-game show ...

Thought he might have a non compete clause like Matt Kennedy had and had to be off the air for a certain time frame.

DP is solid, has to play nice to keep his contacts in the football ops building happy though.
