Brees against a great defense

4TDs
You left out a very important QB stat from this line
Why is that?

So he is...average?
I don’t know where it is after tonight, but coming into the game he had the highest QBR in the league.

Has to sink like a rock after 4 INTs

You’re watching him play by far the worst game of his career, of course you don’t get the hype.
I get 4 picks is 4 picks, but 12-27 for 125 and an int is pretty fricking terrible in its own right.

He could sneak back into with a dominant performance against the Lions but I can't see it happening.

It did. But i just checked and he is still number one in the league.

Who have you been watching?

So, I'm from Calabasas, CA. Born and raised. Now, I don't know much about riding in a helicopter, but I can tell you this: LeBron is way better at it than Kobe Bryant.

Think it's best to see him play more than one game before declaring him as a failure.

I’ve seen him play enough that I can say this:
His line is very good
His playmakers are pretty much all awesome
His defense as a whole is top 5
He needs to play smart, he does.
He’s not a gunslinger or broken play guru.
He’s pretty conservative and doesn’t take retarded risks.
Every qb, Brady, manning (Peyton), Brees, Rodgers, favre, Mahomes etc play bad games.
It’s the nfl.

The knock on Purdy is he can play extremely well with a lead. But does he have what it takes to come back against a good team? So far in his career, the answer is no. Inners are not going to come back tonight. So no, Purdy is not the guy. Pretty boy on a good team. There’s a reason he was picked last.so a game manager…
Basically but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Brady was a game manager for’01-‘03. He didn’t even make the Pro Bowl until’04. I am not saying Purdy is the next Brady; I am just saying that being a game manager isn’t a career killer.

Jesus Christ the takes on this board sometimes.....
MSB hates “hot take” TV personalities like Stephen A Smith and that other dude who used to be on ESPN with him yelling, but yet, MSB acts just like them after every single college football or NFL weekend. Zero difference.

yep. Instead of appreciating the fact that Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant and is now a successful starting QB in his second year, people act like they need to criticize and rabble about his "ranking" as an NFL starter. And when he struggles they gloat about how they were "right." And that is what this is all about. People always wanting to be "right" about things, even when their point or argument is dumb and meaningless.
