Yes, we do have a better team and OU fans know we’ll have more losses but are happy with the move. Such a better game atmosphere all around in SEC.
SEC took last 11 years records and added/divided wins. Then ranked em. Since OU has won a lot we got harder schedule. And since tx has sucked for majority of those 11 years they got softer schedule.
Tx is an example of the few times in life when it pays to suck.

Best Oline in the country, loads of weapons, and a promising young QB. On defense the best is a return to the mean.
13 is a pretty fair ranking with that combo, even with the assumption the defense is bad

LSU played 7 in 2021, 5 in 2020, 7 in 2018 plus 1 for the bowl, and currently have 5 for 2024.
Arkansas had 6 in 2022, 6 in 2021, 6 in 2020, 7 in 2016...
Florida had 6 last year
UK had 6 in 2022
Tenn had 6 in 2022, 6 in 2020
And there are a bunch of other seasons where teams had 5. Thats just a few teams I looked at over the last 6-8 years

Every one of the 14 existing teams plays either OU or tx which means every team added a ranked opponent to schedule. And doing away with divisions means more ranked teams play other ranked teams
The schedule is harder for everyone not just OU. This “welcome to SEC” applies to all 16 teams this year.
Haven't even played a game in the SEC yet and you're already complaining about the schedule

I don't think you know what "nothing" means. There was football before the playoffs.
Since 2000 when Phil Knight started getting involved....8 Conference championships (in the midst of USC rolling) 2X National Finalist,
Since 2010, 3-0 in the Rose Bowl (they don't just invite anybody), 2-1 in the Fiesta Bowl. But sports fans have devolved CFB once rife with a cornucopia of championships and achievements to only 1 thing, smushing the sport into a needle in the haystack competition.

It’s not an obtuse question. You’re simply not willing to compromise meritocratic selection enough to include every G5 champion. That’s good. Now why are you willing to compromise it enough to include one?
Your logic justifies including all five, it’s just a matter of degrees. Distinguish them. Don’t just handwave it and call people obtuse for pointing it out.

What does this mean? Everyone is ahead of us in the conference except Vandy. I know that, but aggie has done nothing to be ranked at all EVERY damn year. It’s a mystery…
