ETA sorry got my years crossed. Fair, but doesn’t really address my overall point with the changing landscape of cfb

We have 1 less major conference than we did in 2022. The G5 autobid is not going to last long despite Tulanes season in 2022

Including 1 team in a 12 or 16 team playoff is not that big of an issue. I don’t see what they gain by kicking them out

this could be the worse QB at Ohio St in 15 years

Howard will likely be just as good of a passer as McCord but is 6'5, 245 and a very willing runner.

Sayin may be locking up the back up spot this week. Reports that he's the 2nd best currently on the roster.

More spots for the Haves, less for the have nots

They’ve made it very clear this is heading towards 1-2 conferences/super leagues. They continue to make rule changes that will make it more difficult for G5 teams to build teams like 2022 Tulane. The writing is on the wall

Has there ever been a team as respected as Oregon with an empty trophy case?

OU could have a much better team than last year with a much worse record. They got butt fricked by the schedule makers

A significant downgrade from Kyle McCord?

It isn’t. I’d bet that a team outside of the top 10 will never win the championship

What’s the point in being so upset that a #12 or 13 gets left out?

a more deserving team

I’d argue an 11-1 or 10-2 top 20 team is more deserving than a 9-3 power 4 team

Meritocracy is prove it on the field & winning your conference means something, not coming in 4th place in the big 12

meritocracy is the most deserving team gets in regardless. A 2 loss SEC team ranked 12th should make a 12 team postseason over a Sun Belt champion. They are more deserving

If that’s the case then why doesn’t every G5 conference get an auto bid

Don’t be obtuse. Including 1 out of 12 or 16 isn’t the same as including all 5

Missouri 2 high

Lost a lot on defense, especially in secondary.

And Florida plays 8 of the top 25. Welcome to the SEC

Show me where any SEC team has played 6 SEC ranked teams prior to this coming season. If it happened it was very rare, especially due to divisions which are gone now. I think you will be hard pressed to fond even one.

Every one of the 14 existing teams plays either OU or tx which means every team added a ranked opponent to schedule. And doing away with divisions means more ranked teams play other ranked teams

The schedule is harder for everyone not just OU. This “welcome to SEC” applies to all 16 teams this year.
