I googled her and it looks like she's just a local news morning anchor. I don't know why she would be in the field at a PC asking football questions

I wonder if she felt immense embarrassment after Bowles answered, or if she just nodded and jotted it down in her notebook to add to her report later that day.

She may qualify as the next White House press secretary if Biden gets reelected.

She's being skewered as a DEI hire, which is unfair. Like you said, a quick glance at her background shows that she's a regular news anchor and not a sports anchor. She might have been substituting for someone.

People should give her a break. She's probably fine at her regular job.

Edit: And she's won a journalism Emmy. This woman isn't a DEI hire.

She is for a sports writing role.

She's 100% unqualified to be reporting on sports. I agree. She had no business filling in for whoever was sick that day.

It doesn’t look like she was hired to be a sports writer. Like LordSaintly said, they just trotted her out there to fill in for someone else. It was a silly question but it’s not her job.

Then she shouldn’t have asked the question. Or she should have asked a question the regular reporter suggested rather than freestyling on her own.

That makes thi even more laughable. Or it makes the Emmy for journalism worse. Either way, wtf...

Do we actually know that the regular reporter suggested anything? How do we know she wasn’t sent in with minutes notice and told to come up with something to ask?

Again, it was a silly question but there are a lot of conclusions being jumped to in this thread.

Is that like winning a Nobel Peace Prize?

Journalist giving themselves awards is certainly special.
