Pacers /knicks with Jon starks , Reggie Miller , and Patrick Ewing

Magic with penny and Shaq

That whole era was great and none of them won because of Jordan and then Hakeem when Jordan left. I wish I could just go back and watch one year of those playoffs and this board would go back to that time and discuss it like it was happening live.

We should do that one day, just find an old replay game scheduled and do a game thread on it

Those mid90s UMass teams under Calipari were amazing. Padilla, Travieso , Bright and Camby. I was in middle school at the time and when they lost to Kentucky in the Final 4 I first realized how tough it really was to make a run to the Championship game in the NCAA Tourney.

Mid 2000s Suns
Nash driving to the hoop, feeding Stoudemire a bounce pass he turned into a scary dunk was an awesome thing to see. Shawn Marion covering your team's best inside scorer and Raja Bell on your best shooter. One would force a turnover, get it to Nash and they'd fly down the court again. If Leandro Barbosa or Boris Diaw missed a shot, Marion, or Stoudemire, was there for the rebound.

Rick Adelman's early 2000's Sack town teams were fun too. Bibby & Chistie at the guards, Peja bonbing in threes and Vlade making your center leave the paint, and Webber driving through your interior guys. Then guys like Hedo Türkoglu, Bobby Jackson and Gerald Wallace coming off the bench. Christie's wife always in the background somewhere! Before Webber got hurt, they were a very tough out.

1994 Penn St. was extremely fun to watch for the time.

Too bad we didn’t get to watch them play Nebraska that year.

For me, Paul Johnson’s GT teams.

NBA-93 Suns
How crazy is PHX having Jason Kid, Kevin Johnson & Steve Nash on the 96 & 97 teams? Most years, most teams have don't have one guy equal to those three on their roster. In 96 Kevin Johnson averaged over 20 points and nine assists per game while Kidd averaged over 10 points & exactly nine assists per game. Nash was only getting 10 minutes of run per game.

From 90-96 Fielder was worth the price of a ticket by himself. Somewhere I've got pics of he and Prince throwing before a game in the Rangers old Arlington Stadium from back then. Prince had on a little Cecil uniform. He was huge for his age. In those days, they lived in Arlington in the offseason.

As a kid, I loved watching the Mid 70's Texas teams with Earl Campbell, and Ham & Lam Jones. In 77, Earl had 267 carries for 1744 yards, Ham had 92 carries for 489 yards with six TD's, and Lam had 21 catches for 543 yards (25.9 ave.) for seven TD's. Another receiver, Alfred Jackson had 19 catches for 481 yards (25.3 ave.) with four TD's. That running game really set up the passing game for those WR's. Hell, Earl had five catches for 111 yards (22.2 ave.) with a TD.

1991 “Too legit to quit” Atlanta Falcons. The Red Gun offense and that great secondary with Deion, Tim Mckyer, Scott Case and Brian Jordan plus Deion returning kicks. Not many boring moments with that bunch.

1990-91 UNLV

Runnin Rebels were the defending NCAAT champion and had a 34-0 record heading into a second consecutive NCAA final. lost by 2 points.

that team absolutely destroyed most opponents during the season scoring ridiculous points. #1 UNLV took down #2 Arkansas in Barnhill 112-105 in a wild game.

69-6 record over 2 seasons. Tark was on top of CBB despite the NCAA's vendetta.
