His comment may be racist but generally it is correct.
The white guys of UCLA did look a bit slower than the black guys of Kentucky. But his son being outplayed was just as big a key to the loss. If their was no truth to the statement where are all the white cornerbacks, safeties, running backs, wide receivers (I know some exist, but the elites are black) in the NFL and in the NBA the elite quick guys are black such as Wall, Westbrook, Curry, and Harden. Some can be half white but not all white. The last uber quick white guy in the NBA shocked viewers so much he earned two undeserved MVP's (Nash)

I've seen 40+ elite quick athletes through the years and only two were white and the rest were black. On those teams the breakdown was 55% white/45% black.

His comment was not that black players are better. His comment was that you can't win with 3 white players.
That is demonstrably false. Duke has done it. Wisconsin made the finals with 4 white starters, beating an almost all black Kentucky team in the semifinals.

A team of Juniors and Seniors beat a team of freshmen. So the 20-22 year olds playing together for 3+ years beat a team of 18 year olds playing together for one year.
I do agree his comment is about deflection. But also true.

You are totally correct. The same thing many blame for disadvantages now is the same thing that led to frequent athletic advantages. Who gives a shite. Not everyone can be a CEO of a Fortune 500 or a pro athlete.

TJ Leaf is a baller. I don't care what color he is. Bryce Alford, otoh, is awful Ball has a point about him. Thomas Welsh is serviceable with a good surrounding cast. Neither a plus nor a minus on his own.

No, no they did not.
Leaf had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists in the first matchup against Kentucky when they won. He had another 17 points and 7 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament matchup. Alford had double digits in both matchups.
Fox roasting his arse for 39 points was the tipping point and I guess according to Ball that must've been the white boy in him playing defense amiright?

I have no issue with him saying blacks are better at basketball. On average, it's obviously true.
