I’m guessing people saying they died haven’t seen that anywhere and are just speculating based on a grainy video.
He fell 20+ feet and landed headfirst on the warning track. Odds of surviving are....not good.
If you slow the video down he climbs onto the railing. We just don't know if he wanted to unalive himself in grand fashion or if it was a Darwin award.

Was he possibly drunk and wanted to run on the field or streak?
That would be my guess. Looks intentional but I don't think he was trying to harm himself. There are three bridges over the Allegheny within just a few blocks of PNC park. If it were that, I would assume he'd go that way.
Probably just forgot they weren't on field level and/or didn't remember

There is another post showing the guy. Shirtless dude with a goatee and sleeve tats, laying flat on his back on the warning track. Head towards the wall. Nothing looks obviously broken or displaced but it’s hard to see shattered vertebrae or swelling brain.

The stuff I’ve seen said transported in critical condition. So saying he died unless you have confirmation is misleading.
Slowing down the original video and zooming it appears he tried to intentionally jump the railing but catches his feet on it which sends him flipping.

to the people pointing out he jumped over the fence as opposed to phasing through it. thanks captain obvious.
I'm sure he was drunk. he looked like he tried to gab the fence on his way down and hold on

Looks like he died of natural causes.
Because gravity is natural

The fact that they’re not doing CPR is kinda interesting. So I assume he has a pulse? Doesn’t mean his spinal cord isn’t shredded and/or his brain isn’t in the process of swelling. Any OT docs in the house?

You mean like a super hero?
You do know that there is a world where someone could fall over a railing vs intentionally trying to jump it, yes?

Just terrible. I want to read the witness statements of those who were with him at the game.
I have no idea what he was thinking. Could be intentional. Could be accidental.

I was about 200’ from this incident tonight, sitting about 10 rows up along the right field line with a perfect view of everything once it had happened. One of the craziest things I’ve ever seen.
If he died, it wasn’t there. There was no attempt to resuscitate. He was completely still, laying in an awkward position until they loaded him on the stretcher.
The stewards were just casually walking out there as the fans in this guys section were screaming. Kyle Tucker was just pointing at the guy laying there motionless.
One of his buddies jumped down there with him after the fact. He was distraught. It was haunting.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Sorry you had to see that.
ETA: Did this occur midgame or was that a walk off hit?

Do you think he was trying to jump on the field during the middle of the game?
