No, it was in the crowd on the track.

This one?

It's the flag of Lombardy. That's where Monza is located. (Googled that, not going to pretend I knew that)

That was a great race at Monza

That was a fun race. Would have been more fun if both Ferrari's were contending or if Bottas could have made a real charge at the end.

Vettel has been spinning his car out for two straight seasons. It's so hard to understand. The media always makes it seem like he has given up but to be fair to him they've been accusing him of that for about 5 years.

The Italians LOVE their anthem!

Well, it is a "fun" tune and honestly, when connected with the German anthem it is one of the best celebration anthems in F1 ever. I still miss Shumacher's jumps of joy at the end.

Today was a great example of the Italian fans and La Pista Magica. Monza just hasn't been the same since Schumacher announced his retirement from Ferrari there. I think as far as Ferrari and probably even the entire grid we saw a changing of the guard. Charles is the most real of deals, anyone that watched him in the feeder series knew he was special.

Cheers Charles, Forza Ferrari you have made the Tifosi molto felici.

Honestly, he hasn't been doing much these days to make the media believe otherwise. His post-race interview was so somber and awkward in contrast to the team's celebration, I don't blame the Sky Sports reporter for asking him if he still loved F1. When he has days like today, it makes you wonder if he's really into it anymore.

Good race, Bottas really phoned it in. Keep wanting him to develop some killer instinct, but he doesn't have it. Not sure how he gets it.

Not sure how LEC doesn't get some sort of penalty during all that. Like watching Bama play at home.

Between LEC, VER, RUS I think we have the future of F1. Hope Lando sticks around for entertainment and Albon finds his way.

Race was fun to watch. Glad to see LeClerc get 2 in a row.

Seb’s re-entry on the spinout pissed me off. Huge risk he took with Ferrari’s car, Stroll’s life and his. I think it’s a Bad look for a veteran of his stature. And then, While Stroll was on the radio complaining about Vettel, he does the same thing to Gasly. PG can’t catch a break.

Would love to have seen Bottas give Charles a push at the end. That miscalculation in the curve and the braking completely killed his shot.

Only complaint so far is the tendency of the race’s producers to focus on the first 3 cars for the vast majority of the time, even when 1st place is way ahead of 2 and 3. For example, I Would like to have seen more of Verstappen and Perez going at it today or any more of the jockeying in the midfield.

World feed always has those issues. They screwed up really bad at the beginning. Missed Crashstappen sliding into the back of Perez then VET doing his spin and they focus on crowd reaction.

I like following on social media when able to watch it live because the replays can be seen a lot easier.

Haas is splitting with their primary sponsor, Rich Energy.

MotorSport.com

quote:

The new energy drink company had come on board with Haas before the start of the year, having previously explored opportunities with other teams like Williams, Force India and McLaren.

But the nascent partnership between Rich and Haas was placed in doubt as early as July, when Rich Energy's then-CEO William Storey announced he had "terminated" the deal with the American F1 team due to "poor performance".

P.S., this thread's title needs some serious updating.

Vettel is my favorite driver but I'm starting to feel like Hockenheim last year broke him.

When Mercedes was running away with nearly every race a few years ago, they complained that their car wasn't getting enough airtime. shite HAM had a 20 second lead and there was much more interesting stuff going on back in the pack.

Great decision by Ferrari to go with the Hard tire. If They go medium and Hamilton pressures until Charles tires go away.

The whole Rich Energy situation is strange. Rich Energy might not even be a real company. They're also having issues with their logo, as they lost a case to Whyte Bikes for copyright infringement.

Better than an Indian who was funneling all of his companies money to fund his Formula 1 habit/ego.

Vettel is flying.

...and he lost it. Leclerc on pole, vettel was smoking everyone and messed up.

...at least vettel seems happy with the car. Doesnt seem like he's going to wreck someone tomorrow, hes got the fastest car so theres that.
