What the hell is Haas doing?
No idea.
I had this weird feeling when they announced they were bringing back Grosjean, that maybe they're actually going to shut the whole thing down. There's no real reason to bring him back unless he took a massive pay cut or you're just not ready to announce the real news.
Also Dallara just announced they were bringing on one of Mercedes top guys. They currently design the car for Haas. Maybe they're going to take over the team? Although Dallara is involved in a number of other series as well.
I don't know, I'm in a bit of a conspiracy mood.

Yeah, I had the same thought.
Haas had said their intention with the race team was for advertising the automation side expanding into Europe. I'm sure at some point their ROI will outweigh his desire to race.

Not sure what Mercedes is thinking here. They just gave away the race.

Vettel needs to give the position to LeClerc. He's just not as strong a driver at this point in history. LeClerc has a better shot at the unlikely comeback championship.

Nah, LeClerc should make the pass if he wants it. Vettel shouldn’t be punished for his side of the garage making the right call.

Way better race than I thought Singapore would be.
Let's see how Leclerc handles it.

No way in hell.

The drivers really need a more manly convenience than riding bitch on the back of a moped when going back to the pits

Well the FIA frowns on getting rides back with other drivers these days.

I'm pumped for Vettel. LeClerc might be unhappy, but ultimately Ferrari doesn't have to apologize for any strategy after finishing 1-2.

That’s not how this works though. Part of the strategy was for LeClerc to hold the race up to save tires. If he’d had have just gone, then neither win because likely Mercedes tires outlast the both of them.

If Leclerc pushes harder on his last lap when they told him to then he comes out ahead of VET.
None of this is on VET.
LEC wouldn't have had as large a gap as VET had when he came out the pits so it doesn't necessarily mean he would have been in much better shape.

The team's strategy was designed to turn a 1st-3rd into a 1st-2nd. They don't really care who's 1st and who's 2nd.
Vettel doesn't owe Leclerc anything. Switching was never really an option anyway due to the safety cars.

I just think it’s bullshite that LeClerc puts it on pole and he’s the sacrificial lamb for Vettel to win.
I don’t think they should have switched back, but Ferrari did do LeClerc a disservice with their strategy.

I don't disagree with anyone who says that was Leclerc's race to win. But it's not like they had him move aside for Vettel or told him to slow down.
Hopefully the rest of the year is competitive because we've had some really fun/interesting races recently.

We were watching today saying how great things have been for the middle part of the year. Great drama. Can't wait to see Netflix show next year.

They should have at least reassigned the grid girls to be the moped drivers

Nah
Leclerc is the better driver this season. Vettel hadn't won a race in over a year. He's had the #1 car for most of the year and Leclerc was (before the race) still basically tied with him, and had been the only race winner.
Leclerc is better, and only lost the position due to pit stops. He should have been allowed to pass.
