I don’t even keep up w the media. I am going off the people I see in real life, on both sides. I know tons one both sides, they are very very similar. Either you let politics dominate your life, or you don’t.

The latter is national rhetoric, blasted about by our media and our politicians. Pretty much every story spouted by the media and our politicians is blamed on white supremacy as if there are enough of those people to make impact on anything.

Of course. You aren’t exaggerating at all. Pretty much every story from the media focuses on white supremacy.

This isn’t hyperbolic at all and you aren’t falling victim to any heuristic bias where you emotionally react to certain stories and therefore inflate their prevalence and importance.

I’m not going to argue with you about it, though. If you, or anyone, think that white supremacy is a mainstream and popular ethos or conversely that the other side thinks all white people are racist - you aren’t rational enough to have a conversation with this about. Stick to your bubble. The other side is crazy and bad! My side is right and rational!

That's fine and I'm letting you know your life is NOT indicative off broader social movements being enforced by those with major institutional control.

I don't want politics to dominate my life, no one asked for sports to become political yet here we are. Tell me who pressured the MLB to change their venue? If "both sides" are crazy why did they listen to only one side?

Name one "extreme" view I have that has no factual basis and can't be proven to exist. Name one.

I know lots of people on both sides. I don’t never here nobody on the left saying stuff like all whites are racist. It is a bogey man made up by the extremists. It doesn’t exist in actuality. If you believe the mediad take what they say to heart, that is on you. You got to be smarter and realize the media wants division.

Shameful - the OT thread on this subject is less political than this on the more sports boards.

Get a life everyone

Tell that to big tech and corporations. They believe in your bogeyman. Even when clearly called out for their hypocrisy, they stick to their woke guns.

How did the right become so weak to allow the left to control media, higher education, and corporations? Did the left just outsmart them? I have never heard a good reason for this.

You know me I am not into politics. But I hear a lot of people on the right talk about how dumb and stupid the left is. And I am trying to reconcile how they have gained so much influenced if they are the less intelligent side.

It’s a valid question.

I think only one side was working to infiltrate the entire system.

I don’t think it’s a knock on the right that they don’t have academia and the media and social media staffed with folks who constantly try to censor the other side and bring people onto theirs.

You’re insinuating that the right has failed because they haven’t been diabolical like the left. That’s silly.

Putting politics aside, I've wondered for while if the NFL is nearing a point with CTE-driven murders and suicide where they will soon surpass pro wrestling's ominous reputation for such things...

Is there a connection between concussions and wrestlers being wild?

I’d assume the combination of personalities, steroids, drinking and drugs, and fast living has more to do with what we see from wrestlers later in their lives.

Are they murdering full families?

Did Travis Rudolph struggle with concussions?

I was alluding to Chris Benoit killing himself and his family, some years back. That has been blamed on CTE. When Junior Seau killed himself, it brought to mind many wrestlers who've struggled in life. There was a time when it seemed you couldn't turn around without hearing about another dead wrestler. The NFL should be fearful of heading down that path.

I don't know who Travis Rudolph is.
