Here is the thing.
Everytime somebody gets killed by a cop, there are people on the right who says justified. And there are people on the left who say racism. No matter what the case may be.
Being tied so heavily to a political party stops people’s ability to think independently. It is nothing but group think. They will go with Whatever their political part has told them to think. Very sad to see so many who cannot think for themselves.

I don’t consider myself heavily tied to a political party, but this is false. I was all in on Chauvin being strung up when I saw the initial video. I call it like I see it based on the information that I have. Unfortunately, that information is not always complete or presented without bias.

Half truth. Most right leaning people wanna see the video before judging. Most of the time, the suspect does something necessary for lethal force.
Correct. They’ll argue feelings and use a boogeyman. “Everything is racist” even math in my state!
Most normal people will agree with this
ETA: the left has turned their party into a religion. They’re less likely to hang out with or socialize with people of the opposite party. The left has turned into a one answer is correct type of party. Which then changes depending on narrative. Conservatives are more likely to do their own research and look at raw video instead of the edited cut by 60 minutes. Then they’ll shoot the shite with each other later even if they disagree.

that is not true at all. Most people do not give a shite. Only the extremists in either side will not like or hang out with someone else just because they have a differing view. I have people in in my family on both sides who won’t associate with those on the other side bc of their politics. Again, very very sad to see people let partisan politics come before family. All of my acquaintances on the left must be extremists, then. I HAD several Facebook friends who were on a music message board that I used to frequent. When I posted something about voting for Trump, all of them unfriended me except for one, and he’s from Texas.

Bro I live in Portland. The rioting is encouraged by most here. The identity politics of the left is again, encouraged here. I know people who “fearful” for their livelihoods if Chauvin isn’t guilty but at same time won’t condemn the extremist Antifa fascists they’ve created. The extreme left is the face of the party. Well whites certainly aren’t perpetrating crimes against blacks with any frequency, anywhere. But a quick trip to one of our fine cities like NOLA, Detroit, Oakland, or Atlanta will show you whites and other races being the victims of violent and non-violent crimes at the hands of blacks at at least above average rates. They seem to be proud of the criminality so I’m not sure pointing out that fact is offensive in any way

It’s a culture difference. Most whites don’t feel sorry for or identify with criminals. If George Floyd, Jacob Blake, or that other idiot from Atlanta were white I’d be ashamed of them, not painting murals for them. Good riddance to violent criminals

Trump was labeled a racist the day he became a legitimate candidate to win office.
