no because if they add a third team then lake show will need to negotiate with that team to move back the official trade date
Uh no. It changes nothing. It’s happening on the 6th regardless of what happens on draft night.

But Summer league starts on the 5th and is over well before the 30th. So wouldn’t that 3rd team want their guy to start playing summer league with them? Are you saying that the LAL would have to give that 3rd team compensation too in order to move back the date or are you suggesting that by adding the 3rd team it pushes back the allowable, official completion date because there is now a third team?

What compensation can they even give at this point?

Kuzma or Wagner
depends if you guys trade the pick because that is who lake show will need to negotiate with on processing date

So how does this help your argument? I would agree that a 3rd team would be much more willing to help out the Lakers than the Pels, since the Lakers success directly impacts the Pels future. But this just raises few more questions I have for you:
1. Doesn’t this mean that the Pels still have the leverage? i.e. cant the Pels just not agree to deal the pick to a team that will push the date back? Or can’t they find out who another team wants, tell the Lakers to take that player, and just sit on him until the 6th? Would the change in date be material to the Pels and therefore need to be agreed on by them?
2. Why do you think any 3rd team would be willing to help the Lakers out here? Do you think that a western team would want to help the Lakers put together a super team if they can prevent it? Don’t you think a small market team like, say IND, would not want to help perpetuate this idea that big market teams can bully small market teams to give up their star players?
3. What more can the Lakers actually give?
Look, I’m not saying that this deal doesn’t somehow go through until the 30th, but if looking at the two dates logically, it’s hard to believe that the 6th isn’t the more realistic date as we stand here today.

He's spinning out of control.
Lakers better hope they can get some solid 2nd tier FA's.

Do you ever say anything correct
Posted on 6/18/19 at 9:25 am to Baron
1. I really believe pels want this deal done as much as Lake show, in that sense, both teams are going to work together to get it done. so the leverage exists both ways.
2. it's a fair point and adding a third team makes this really complicated. offering a kuzma for ex to push back processing date is more than a reasonable deal.
it depends on kawhi dude. it will process on the 6th unless he says he wants to play with lake show.

The Pelicans lose no matter what if it’s done on the 30th. That isn’t happening without significant value to them.

Would the lakers have a starting 5 if this happens? They gonna play 3on3 ball until next season?

Lakers are trying to expand Anthony Davis trade and create ability to open max salary slot on July 6, sources tell @BobbyMarks42 and me. Lakers offering contracts of Mo Wagner/Jemerrio Jones/Isaac Bonga to additional teams, so LA can satisfy CBA rules on creating $32M in space.

I think I posted a tweet a day or two ago that mentioned that as a possibility. Wonder if we would just attach those players onto the 3rd team trading for the 4th pick. Still a disaster of a situation that had no reason to exist
