Good luck. Don’t care as long as it processes on the 6th.

Wonder if we would just attach those players onto the 3rd team trading for the 4th pick. Still a disaster of a situation that had no reason to exist
I really don't think those three players will free up much money. Combined they made less than $5 million

The math checks out. Freeing up those players opens up a max slot on July 6th. It's now simply hoping we can find a team who would be open to taking flyers on young cheap players for next to nothing

I cannot wait to see how Pelinka fills out the role players on this roster if they sign a third max, it’s going to be hilarious

I might go try out

I really want a max unless its kawhi or kyrie. I have no faith in pelinka building a roster around the edges with actually no money. I only would take kawhi or kyrie cause you cant turn those guys down. I just desperately want the extra 9 million in space for the extra room

how does that work?
The Lakers wouldn't be receiving any salary in return, so they take a 900K cap hit per open slot.
Wouldn't that be 2.7 of the 4.7 right back on the ledger?

Just brick a bunch of jumpers and you should be good
Posted on 6/18/19 at 7:58 pm to WestCoastAg
Yeah I mean you should try to get the extra room no matter what. I don’t think you need a third max to win it all if you spend the money wisely on good shooters/versatile defenders

No issues there

Are you figuring in AD waiving his kicker? Cause that needs to happen to make it work
Posted on 6/18/19 at 8:07 pm to WestCoastAg
if he doesn't waive, is worth trading away those 3 players, just to gain 2 million in cap space?
Don't follow the Lakers like you so, I have no idea the value of those players.

I'm no expert but by my math I got to roughly 32.5m.

Yes. Lakers need every penny of space they can get. I dont know if there will be much of a market for Wagner or Jones, but I think we will be able to find a team willing to take a chance on bonga for basically free
Posted on 6/18/19 at 8:15 pm to WestCoastAg
Some team may take a flyer on Wagner and iirc, Jones’s contract is non-guaranteed after July 1st

I mean you need 7 or 8 guys to play basketball at least.
LeBron is too old to play 40 minutes a game. AD can barely play 3 quarters.
Michael J Fox available?

LeBron taking nearly 40 million each of the next two seasons (approx. 40% of the cap space) is what’s hurting them. If he really wanted to win, he wouldn’t have taken the “max”. He’s going into a decline anyways but the Lakers just had to buy a name when the product doesn’t fit the price tag.

This is the real issue. Since the Pelicans were rarely in the national spotlight during AD's time in NOLA, no one seems to remember that AD has never finished a season without missing at least a couple weeks, if not a month or two, with injuries. Forcing all of these minutes on your two superstars is just setting the Lakers up for failure.
