Fully guaranteed contracts are the absolute worst thing to ever happen to professional sports. Especially in the softest league of them all, the NBA.
If only say 50% of their salary was guaranteed and the remaining had to be earned via performance incentives… then you damn sure wouldn’t see these lazy arse, NBA players quit in the middle of games.

I wonder if anybody in the media actually picked Miami.

Charles Barkley guaranteeing a Celtics win pregame was the final nail.

I can’t wait for the Bill Simmons tears.

So Boston fire their coach?
On the other hand they struggled to exhibit dominance vs a far inferior ATL side in 6 and PHI pushed them to 7
But I think you have to give him a 2nd year and “normal” off-season

The whole Barkley guarantee shite is dumb, you can’t make a guarantee before every frickin game, it’s got to be reserved for special occasions

Marcus Smart with the mugging

So the Heat are doing this missing 2 starters?
Did I hear that correctly ?

So glad Miami didn’t fold after that heartbreaking loss the other night

Tatum goes down in game 7 and Brogdon tears his elbow in game 1.
Part of the game unfortunately. Giannis goes down in game 1 as well. Julius Randle was at 50% and missed some time in that series too.
The Heat just have flukey injury luck on their side.
