But there is absolutely zero chance he has 6 rings if he played in anywhere else besides New England with Bill Belicheck. This is a fact.
That is not a fact. It's supposition based on an alternate timeline that we will never be able to witness. One thing we do know for certain is that Tom Brady is going to be playing for a chance to appear in the Super Bowl on Sunday and Bill Belichick is going to be watching him on his big screen TV in Massachusetts.

When Jeff Ireland came in they did build talent around him, but by then he was out of his prime.
Brees may have been out of his physical prime in 2018 but that was arguably his best season

Wait, are there still people who think Brady is the only QB in the world who could have done what he did in New England?

Posted on 1/22/21 at 1:37 pm to lsupride87
But yeah the Pats are definitely not as good with washed Cam Newton.

And if you think those two games define Brady's career more than 28-3 in Super Bowl LI then you are deluding yourself. That was the night his legacy was cemented.
Thanks for making my point. His defense and Atlanta's stupidity led to another ring. All ATL had to do was kick a fg and the goat has 5. They chose not to.

Pats w/ Brady in 2007 - 16-0 trip to superbowl
Pats w/out Brady in 2008 - 11-5 missed playoffs.
Bucs w/ out Brady 7-9 missed playoffs
Bucs w/ a 43 year old Brady 11-5 NFC championship, potential trip to super bowl
Wow, seems like tGoat makes teams SIGNIFICANTLY better.
If I calculated it correct, BB is 25-28 without Brady in NE. BB is 244-92 in NE and Brady is 219-64 according to pro football reference. I honestly couldn't believe it when i saw it. Thats fricking sucks

How much of Brees getting let down by the defense was his own fault? If I remember correctly, Saints fans on here bitched when Brees would charge the Saints top dollar when contract time came around. Brady, meanwhile, was giving the Pats a hometown discount so they could afford better supporting players.
If Drew had been a little more team first/me second money-wise, maybe the Saints can field better defenses. One or two improved players on that side of the ball might have made the difference.

11-5 usually makes the playoffs. Every team in the league wishes they could go 11-5 and you making it sound like they went 6-10.
This was Arians second year with the Bucs. If all he did was bring in Brady I'd agree but he brought in additional personnel. So no, you can't say Brady improved the team. He helped but let's not forget the Saints swept them with a past his prime QB. He was significantly worse than Brees in those two games right? Oh and if Winstons WRs don't miss 50% of the passes that end up as INTs, the Bucs are at least 10-6 last year.
Put Brady on the Jets or the Jaguars and let's see how improved they are. There's a reason he went to Tampa and not anywhere else. It's because they had already had a good team in place.

Brady, Rodgers, and Manning can score in 30 seconds. Brees hasn't had the arm for that in years.

This board has got to be the ONLY place in sports fandom where retards are still knocking Brady. Most haters threw the towel in on that a decade ago.
Or maybe we're just annoyed that we have to keep hearing "Brady GOAT" with the biggest reason being "muh ringz". Which is the dumbest fricking way possible to decide anything specific to actual position play.

Another thing to take into account, for the stats, is that Brady is constantly playing in New England winter weather whereas Brees gets to play in a Dome for every home game he gets in the playoffs.
So does Rodgers. And Rodgers doesn't get the face a division as dog shite as the AFC East was for the better part of the last 2 decades.

Tom Brady is #2 all-time in career passing yards and #1 all-time in career passing touchdowns.
Playing longer than anyone will usually lead to more "all time" stats. He's been a starter 7 years longer than Rodgers, and I don't think he ever lost all or most of a season to injury.

Brady isn’t the Greatest QB ever, but I can buy into the fact that he has had the greatest career ever for a QB.
Let me put it another way: Brady is Emmitt Smith, Manning is Barry Sanders, Brees is Frank Gore.

Yea those idiots will bring that up like it's because he's the best. That's like saying Emmitt Smith is the best RB because he has 3 SB rings and the most yards.
Barry Sanders and Walter Payton were much better.
Brady is great but he's not the best QB ever.

Since 2008, when Rodgers took over:
Bears 3 10 win seasons. 3 playoff appearances
Lions 2 10 win seasons 3 playoff appearances
Vikings 6 10 win season, 6 playoff appearances
Yea the AFC East was bad but the NFC North has been pretty dogshit while Rodgers was in it too
