Quinn Ewers did not look NFL ready to me last night. He might stay another year at Texas to try to improve his draft. I wonder if it is too late for Arch Manning to enter portal and transfer to Georgia in time for spring practice. Really like Nussmeier for 2025. Just worry about a rebuilding Georgia team with likely a better quarterback.

I’d be shocked if Manning is the one to leave. It doesn’t make any sense at all. Texas isn’t going to keep Ewers for 1 year when they can have Manning for 2 minimum maybe 3 or 4 years. That’d be an epic failure on Texas part and won’t happen. Ewers is either going to NFL or transferring. And I doubt he goes to UGA.

The NFL usually doesn’t care about a single game performance. In fact, quite often they aren’t overly concerned with college performance or records and are more interested in potential.

I don't think you've been paying attention. There is no scenario where Arch Manning does not start for Texas next year. Fans would revolt . Ewers either goes pro or transfers elsewhere.

Agreed. Maybe Ewers can be the “backup” and parlay that into another Dr. Pepper Fansville commercial.

I was surprised that Sark didn't give Arch a series or two last night.

He doesn't have the arm strength to be a NFL QB.

Staying at Texas one more year isn't going to change that.

Arch almost went to Georgia over Texas.

But he's staying at Texas.

Completely disagree. How do you get rated the #1 overall recruit while lacking basic arm strength? Plenty of elite recruits don’t work out due to accuracy or decision making, but they all have the baseline arm to be NFL QB’s.

I never questioned his arm strength till last night on the Hail Mary at the end of the first half. He couldn’t reach the end zone from 47 yards out. I realize he was moving but a really good arm could make that throw.

Why would he go to UGA? That would be the worst place for development. Carson had to leave for a chance at the NFL.

He'll never look NFL ready, he's 21 years old, not a kid. He's not an NFL starting QB no matter how long he stays in College.

He almost fumbled when they gave him the ball. He was lucky he was called down b/c it was close enough it likely would not have been overturned had it been called the other way.
