How many of 14 signees are projected to be early enrollees in January 2026?

How many of the 14 signees are expected to be early enrollees in January 2026? Second question, when can LSU start signing guys from the portal and will some of them be eligible to enroll in January 2026?
Kid from Leesville flashbacks.

Watching Nuss continue to play so poorly caused me to think back to the quarterback play in the Auburn game when we kept throwing pick sixes. The coaches keeping Nuss in the games this year reminded me of the coaches that chose to throw passes late in game rather than give the ball to Cecil Collins. Dumb was dumb then and dumb is still dumb. Felt much better about LSU when Van Buren moved around and threw to middle of field.
Seems like a long delay in the meeting. Is Landry weaker than we thought? Does not seem like a slam dunk type of meeting.
If Nuss starts the next game and by the second offensive series does not show stronger passing and an ability to gain yardage by running, then it will clearly be time to change to the backup QB. The Nuss we have seen so far will not beat many SEC teams. If he is not obviously better physically at the start of the next game, then sticking with him without at least trying someone else is the equivalent of sticking your head in sand because you cannot come up with anything better.

We have seen Nuss not function well in the current situation. It is time to see if the backup can provide a spark that LSU has been missing on offense.

A picture of Albert Simien at LSU this past weekend was posted on Facebook. Do not see much on this site about him. Hope he signs with LSU.
Does Ewers bad game result in Manning to Georgia?
Posted by 9407lsu on 1/11/25 at 10:59 am
Quinn Ewers did not look NFL ready to me last night. He might stay another year at Texas to try to improve his draft. I wonder if it is too late for Arch Manning to enter portal and transfer to Georgia in time for spring practice. Really like Nussmeier for 2025. Just worry about a rebuilding Georgia team with likely a better quarterback.
re: Arkansas TE Luke Hasz is in the portal

Like the comments on-line about Hasz and his time at Arkansas. The comments are much more favorable about Hasz than what I read about the Florida TE. To me, our returning TEs did not block very well. Hope LaFleur can block. Still think we very much need a catching and blocking tight end out of the portal.
Is there an unsigned high school tightend LSU might want?
Posted by 9407lsu on 12/5/24 at 11:40 am
Based on the tv clip last night, the LaFleur kid looked young and a bit on the skinny side at his signing ceremony. Is there a high school tight end still available that LSU might want to sign as a blocking tight end?
re: Keep your eye on this Quarterback. He is currently weighing options and LSU is one of them

Thank you making this post. I was wondering who might still be available to sign as a quarterback.
Penn and Weeks seemed to be making most of the tackles. Kept wondering who we have to spell them during SEC games.

Glad to see him at practice
What is the final date for players to enter the draft?
Posted by 9407lsu on 12/19/23 at 11:42 am
I keep seeing discussions on whether or not players are leaving for the NFL draft. What is the final date for a player to make the election to leave early for the draft?
Nussmeier might improve with more playing time
Posted by 9407lsu on 12/4/22 at 11:37 am
Nussmeier might improve with more real game playing time. I think Daniels is what he is and will not improve. Really appreciate what Daniels did when the line play was not good. It looks like Brian Kelly is fixing the line problem. Had no confidence in Daniels to see open receivers or to make accurate throws on time. Really hope that Nussmeier stays and Brian Kelly plays him more as he has the greater upside of the two quarterbacks.
Would #53 Balestra be a good use of one of the remaining transfer scholarships?

He played a lot in the Spring game. Another post said he is a walk-on. While he looked like he played good to me, I am only an old fan who started listening to LSU on the radio back in the late 1950s. I am curious if more knowledgeable people thought he played good.
Damone Clark played good last night

The hustle and effort that he showed last night got my attention. He seemed to me to make a lot of good plays.
Why was Maason Smith not used more last night?
Posted by 9407lsu on 9/5/21 at 12:56 pm
Maason Smith appeared to me to play good early in the game. Then I do not remember seeing him again in the game. Why did we keep using mostly the same folks that played last year in the defensive line and they did not seem to me to be up to the task.
