This year with low supply of franchise quarterbacks and not a strong college draft at that position?

The dude doesn't want to play football anymore. Why would he bother doing something he doesn't want to do when he's already making tens of millions?

Hasn't he been out of the league like 5 years now, but folks like you keep bringing him up for discussion?

Only bring it up because here as of late coaches such as Pete Carroll say he deserves a shot. Also supply and demand of franchise qb’s. And the fact he has been throwing with nfl wide receivers. So it’s not just to rehash an old topic, bring up any kind of social or political talk. Just wondering if he gets a shot in light of recent events to play in the league again.

Then Pete Carroll needs to sign him.

Not disagreeing here but wondering where that revenue stream comes from? How is he making his money?

He has done plenty of commercials, and still has a sponsorship deal with Nike.

He has probably made more money from this whole thing and doesn't have to work at all

I have to plead ignorance. Curious how he's making 10's of millions or any income at this time?

by being a political activist for Nike. Dude gets paid 8 figures by China to tear down the society that allowed a little black boy who’s mother didn’t want him to be adopted by a white family, who loved him, and put him in position to make millions of dollars playing a kids game.

i’d be shocked if any team not named seattle takes him in

i’d have to imagine he’ll be difficult to work and definitely see him trying to get his white masters fired for any cause.

He could have been a long time ago - it was always his choice.

If Seattle offers, Kaep will do something to burn his bridges with them.

I thought he said the NFL was slave labor. So is he begging to be a slave?

He was never very good. His 6th year in the league stats are equal to Davis Mills' first year in the league. Both started 11 games.

Kaepernick

59.2% 2241 yds 16 TD 5 Int (He did rush for 468 yds)

Mills

66.8% 2664 yds 16 TD 10 Int

Both played on terrible teams. Why would anyone want that guy when a random 3rd round pick can outperform him without the drama and for way less money?

There's a big market for agitators in our society today - his kneeling at the most opportune time for optimum attention, coupled with the high visibility nationally of the NFL gave him the name recognition he would not have gotten in really any other profession.

Those who thrive in agitation seized the opportunity and have used that and have used him to capitalize on that opportunity.

And he has been more than happy to be used and rake in that money. He could have been a back-up QB long ago, at numerous places with a chance to play due to injury of the starter ahead of him, but wants to be seen as a martyr.

Ture martyrdom is trivialized by such myopic pandering.

Bro he doesn’t actually want to play anymore. I can’t believe people still believe he does.
