That would be silly, wouldn’t it?

Why?

Same situation as Bama jumping over Wisconsin in 2017. Sometimes sitting at home while another team is forced to play an extra game benefits you

It never ever should, but they set that ridiculous precedent already

Man you want them to unset a lot of things this year. Let’s see the list

Let’s unset 1 loss is always better than 2
Let’s unset conference championships mattering when record is even

And the best coming from you

Let’s completely unset the eye test mattering at all

because hey it's Bama, ESPN can't have a playoff without them

We had a perfectly fine playoff in 2019 without Alabama.

I'd imagine the ratings for the CFP will be a lot higher if there's relatively new blood in it. People are tired of the Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, OU CFP stranglehold.

no SEC teams in championship game would hurt ratings...Georgia vs Michigan would be awesome...

ND doesn't deserve to be in playoffs due to sitting at home this weekend...hope the committee hammers them for that.

Bama was 11-1 in 2017 and sat at home because they didn’t even win their division

12-0 Wisconsin played in the conf champ game and lost. They then were 12-1, better than Bamas 11-1, yet the committee took bama….

So why would they not take 11-1 ND over worst record 11-2 Bama?

They would have to have Alabama at 3 because they’re not going to have a rematch with Georgia in the semifinal.

If a 2 loss Alabama is ahead of an unbeaten Cincinnati, that would be borderline criminal.

They shouldn’t but they will
Not only will they, but watch them lose to Georgia and not even drop in the rankings. They'll go into the playoffs at No. 3.

We've seen this play out more than once.

The only good team they beat was Bama. Kind of crazy they are ranked at all.

Hell a close loss will probably make them go up in the rankings not down. I mean does Georgia have a loss that good?

If g try he committee looks at the way their last few games have been played, they would realize they shouldn’t be there now. But Bama going to Bama.
