The only thing SGA did better than Jokic this year was shoot free throws.
Don't give me that "he didn't play in the 4th quarter" nonsense either. SGA played 2 minutes less per game than Jokic. Jokic not only had better counting stats, he also had better analytical numbers, all on a much worse team, while playing center, and while having a lower usage rate.

Well to be fair the MVP is a regular season award. But SGA deserves it this year even if OKC would have lost today.

Dude got double/triple teamed and harassed all game while two of his starting teammates decided to play in favor of OKC. OKC did have a strong game plan and followed it to a strong finish.

This is not true. They are completely different players. Jokic needs the ball a higher percentage of the time. It could be said him having it so much hurts his teammates. Shooting is a flow type thing and players get in rhythms. With Jokic his teammates never do because everything flows thru him.
I can tell you never watched Thunder games in reg season. SGA is a great facilitator and could have scored 40+ every night. But he makes an extra effort to get his teammates involved giving up even good looks to involve them. He is very tactical in choosing when to get his while feeding other players.
They are not interchangeable and each offers something different to their team.
You can all keep discussing who is better but SGA will win it and rightfully so for what he did this year. This is the youngest ever team to get this far and SGA lead this team and kept everyone happy with his distribution and not hogging the ball. He walked a delicate balance all year long, guiding them to 5th best reg season record in history. Think about that knowing how many great teams there were.
I’m just glad Denver series is over, I’ve never seen so many fan ref whiners ever. Every game thread was either deflected to pimp Jokic MVP or complaining about refs. It was flat out disgusting. I’ve been watching since before Jordon era and Denver (Joker) fans are the worst complainers I’ve ever witnessed.
And for the record, old school BB was awesome. I love when teams play defense but in todays sports world everyone wants no defense and video game scores. When a team focuses and plays defense its like end of days with the new era fans. Detroit set the defensive benchmark for the record.

Throw that crap stat out the window. SGA did not get credit for many things like passing to a player who passes to a 3rd who scores. Won’t show in stats. He keeps his team balanced moreso than Joker. They are 2 different type players. Doesn’t make Joker bad either but most things run thru him.

Nah, the Nuggets problems with offensive flow are due to Murray’s poor timing on pick and rolls and getting into the offense.
