With NIL, you'll be seeing plenty of players wearing them during the press conferences.

Yep, along with dodge chargers, and arrests for alcohol and drugs. Yea

Presidential is the model of the bracelet on the watch, not the watch itself. It is a common and somewhat accepted misnomer.

This needs to be stickied. We get tons of watch questions on the OT.

Probably a lot of them. A gold presedential rolex was what every semi-sucessful person bought in his age group and older. They weren't nrearly as expensive back then and were a sign of "I made it."

More likely a Richard Mille as they have become the sports watch for the well-heeled. The PP Nautilus is still an incredibly in-demand watch* but it is more likely to be on the wrist of someone in their 30s and up.

* the 5711 Nautilus is in its last year and a limited number of olive dialed ones are to likely be the last of the model, they retail for ~$40k and the first one to be auctioned off sold for $470k with fees. Not bad to sell a watch for nearly 12 times what you paid for it essentially immediately.

Those kids probably haven't even heard of Patek Phillipe. Most of them buy blinged out rolex watches right after they're done playing college ball from what I've seen

I hear this being said by Louis Winthorpe's "Like he went to Harvard" voice.

For whatever reason, college football coaches seem to be less enamored with watches than basketball coaches but I am curious how long it will be before one is seen sporting a Richard Mille.

Up until recently, basketball coaches were dressed far more professionally/upscale than their football counterparts.

If you were a decent coach in the 60's/70's/80's a 1803 or 18038 was basically part of your game day outfit. Anybody who was anyone had one. Today I see a lot of 'smart' watches etc. on coaches but a few do wear Rolex, AP, Patek or even VC.

Oh they have. Richard Mille and Pateks are what they wear nowadays. James Harden and Lil Baby were rocking matching Mille's for Paris fashion week
