Just think about it, if it is true, you will see mass population moving out of the Xinjiang region. Usually each person have at least 7 friends and relatives. If one of them got force camped, the other 6 people will start to move away to safer place.

If 1 Million people got camped as reported in US media, you will see millions of people moving to east or west into other countries. We did not see this happen. We always see 20-30 familiar faces telling people they were raped 100 times in the camp in the BBS news.

When Nazi did the Genocide, Jewish people were fleeting every corner of the world. Even 100K Jewish settled in Shanghai which is far far away from Europe. The international communities did not buy the Genocide lie. Otherwise, you will not see only 8 countries following US to boycott the Olympics.

But US has the mentality of "We are the world!" so the average American people are thinking the world is on the US side which is not TRUE.

I can understand the worrying about the lost of the tradition. Uighers use to be traditional farmers living on 3 acres of land. But how much can you make by farming 3 acres of land?

When young generations got trained and started working in modern factories. They are buying cell phones and watching tik tok. They do not practice religions that much. They want good jobs. They will learn Chinese (just like Latinos are learning English to get better jobs) and are influenced by the Han culture (the main culture in China). Some old Uighers cultures will be lost.

Sometimes, these culture loss may not be a bad thing in some sense.
