Doesn't this mean he's banned from Australia for 3 yrs? Assuming he fights this and loses.

If it stands, I think so. He's appealing it and they had a hearing last night.

He didn't make a mistake on his visa, he put false information and later claimed "it was an accident".

How do you know? I haven't seen any details of what false info was on the application

You probably aren’t vaccinated either, so it’s a moot idea to even consider anyway.

So sad that people are willing to lose opportunities to see the world because of a simple vaccine.

Imagine being this gullible. Don't believe everything you hear; use critical thinking and common sense. Good news is, government loves NPC's like you. I'm not going to explain this to you; if you lack the critical thinking skills of a middle schooler, or worse, choose to be willfully ignorant, that's a you problem.

One of favorite lines in a song, is by Creed in their song "Say I".

"The stillness is so lifeless with no spirit in your soul
Like children with no vision do exactly what they're told
Being led into the desert
For your strength will surely fade"

ETA- Lots of people seem willing to submit to "the system" without questioning. There are a lot more sheep than I had originally thought. Scary.

It was admitted by him that he claimed no travel the two weeks before and that was a blatant lie he was caught in as he traveled to Spain and even went to multiple events while waiting on his test result.

He then claims on the form to have receive the positive test result before that and backtracked later saying he didn’t receive it at that time.

It is okay to disagree with the Aussie government’s extreme measures against their own citizens and still see outsiders trying to game the system as wrong.

Sad part is most on here crowing I support of the “victim” Djokovic only are doing it because of the vaccine policies and ignoring what he did wrong.

You do realize Djokovic could have also just not lied on his documentation, right?

That alone should and likely will uphold this decision.

You can't claim clerical errors when you misrepresent information on those forms.

Is this all stupid? Yes, but trying to cheat a shitty system, is still cheating the system.
that doesn't explain the back and forth circus. If you're gonna ban him, ban him. All this bullshite circus they've created since then is absurd.

First off, I haven’t heard anyone bring up Creed in decades. They’re pretty terrible; Nickelback terrible.

Secondly, most of us are raised by our biological parents and are trained to do as we are told.

Life is too short to worry about ego. Fact is, things have obviously changed over the years and if someone wants to see the world, they have to be vaccinated… period.

Someone needs to make a call to Crocodile Dundee from the bush to eliminate these tyrannical motherfrickers.

Not everyone compromises their moral just to have "more opportunities"

Every day that goes by, there is less and less reason to trust the vaccine. We've only had more and more significant outbreaks since its introduction.

The point is exactly that he lied. Also, if he’d just kept his mouth shut from the beginning and not tweeted about “hey I’m not vaccinated and beat the system with this exemption”, he’d be fine. Why tweet it? What’s the point?

This is on him.

I don’t understand for the life of me how these big time athletes can’t fake the shot? Go to Walgreens and slip the pharmacy tech a G note and say don’t stick me and say you did. Or their own private doctor.

He should have just thrown in the towel and left the country as soon as this mess started. It's just one tournament.

You can win personal battles against an individual adversary, an organization and sometimes even the media. But you are NOT going to win against the sovereign government of an entire country when they have dug their heels in. He picked a fight he can't win.

Those defending Australia haven’t spent much time down there. They will follow a procedure off a cliff in defense of the bureaucracy. I love the people as individuals and the area but they do not care about individual freedoms. I’d bet $100 they’ll be on the side of China in the next 2 decades.

Yep. Try this with America and see how it works out. Every country will have its rules and if you want to go there, you’d better follow them!
