He isn't the most talented player to ever play the position, but there are few who can lay claim to what he has in his trophy case:

2017 national champion
2020 national champion
2025 Super Bowl champion
2020 Heisman Trophy winner
2020 AP College Football Player of the Year
2020 Sporting News College Football Player of the Year
2020 SEC Offensive Player of the Year
2020 Walter Campbell Award winner
2020 Maxwell Award winner
2020 Fred Biletnikoff Award winner
2020 Paul Hornung Award winner
2020 Unanimous All-American
2021 CFP National Championship Game MVP

Aside from catching the game winning touchdown in the 2018 CFP National Championship Game, DeVonta Smith has also caught touchdown passes in the Iron Bowl, the Orange Bowl, the Rose Bowl, the SEC Championship, and now the Super Bowl. He also has become just the fifth player in the history of the sport to win a Heisman, a national championship, and a Super Bowl championship.

Yep. Very impressive, seems like a pretty good dude too so easy to wish success for him. Cool for him to reach the pinnacle in his home state

There was a video Thursday of him going back to his home town of Amite probably 1.5 hours away from New Orleans. He was ordering from a local restaurant and the owner recognized him and didn’t want him to pay but Smith insisted. Just a cool video, he seems like a really nice guy.

On top of that, he’s super humble and an all around good dude. Can’t hate the kid even if he did go to Bama

You have a Drinking Problem if you think Devante Smith is a Top 10 Current WR, he's a borderline WR

When he finally took his card, the owner said, “It was declined last time.”

He accomplished so much during the COVID year. Put an asterisk by those awards in 2020.

Of course a bama fan would say this about a former bama player.

"DeVonta Smith might just be the most accomplished WR in the history of the sport FROM AMITE LOUISIANA?"

This guy has SEVEN NBA rings and he probably isn't a top 15, or top 20 NBA player. So what Smith did.... men.
