Are we supposed to believe a guy who hasn’t cared about football for years is suddenly one of the most dedicated players in the league?

Watson was a 3x Pro Bowler, he was available, the Browns believed they were in their window, and they didn't think Baker was the guy to get them over the hump.
It was a ridiculous contract, especially with the allegations hovering over Watson's head, and the Browns ended up being wrong, but I get why they made the move at the time.

Why not play all 4
I would let Pickett handle the first quarter snaps
Flacco can spell him in the second quarter and then retire at halftime and have a few beers
Gabriel can lead them coming out of halftime
Put in Watson for the fourth quarter
Sanders can hold the clipboard
