Question is if Deion is humble enough to get the right coordinators and assistants.

Deion has assembled a good staff. There’s a lot of quality coaches and experience from his assistants all the way down to the analysts.

The question should be if he can keep it together, and make the right tweaks to his staff. Demoting his OC is his first questionable move. Let’s see how he handles the offseason.

He doesn't process the game fast enough IMHO when he's faced real defenses. That or his OL/WRs are just not good enough to buy him time.

His Oline is atrocious and too often they call deep routes with 5 man protection that gives the QB no chance.

Shedeur looks like he's an early 2-3 round pick, potential to start.

Look at the crazy sacks he takes... And see why an O-lineman would hate trying to protect him.

Don't know if he's been trying to pad his stats and completion % but...

1) Dude holds onto the ball forever...

2) Won't willingly throw it away to play another down

3) Drops back way too far

4) Runs backwards under pressure like he's on the playground and has taken 20+ yard sacks! because of it...

5) And he's really not that fast to out-talent DE and scramble away as his improvising gets him eaten up.

He's like that CFB star who could just elude and make things happen until he gets to the NFL and he's not playing Rice anymore...only Shedeur is finding that out in P5 College coming from Jackson State.

It’s wild how much people on this board hate on Deion for no rational reason. Nobody can ever have a logical or sane take in here. Morons here always have to take the most extreme negative position. It’s crazy.

Nothing is being overhyped. People were just excited to see Colorado come out and play well against the runner ups. Nobody knew TCU would be this bad. Then rode the hype until the predictable loss against Oregon and USC. Stanford so far is the only really bad loss and every coach has had a game like that at some point.

You’d think people could just enjoy football and talk about it for what it is. But no, we gotta make sure we come in here and shite on coaches and kids we don’t like. Why? Cause they talk about winning and being great? Lol insanity

I hear what you’re saying here but at the end of the day it’s all entertainment, including the extra showboating & antics, and all subject to criticisms/opinions lol

They should catch so much flack about this the rest of their playing careers, college or pro

He's a glorified recruiter and more people should be able to see that - especially when his whole model is to use nothing but the transfer portal instead of actually coaching some of the athletes he has

I mean, I'm not a huge Deion fan, but he took over a job that went 1-11 last year and really wasn't competitive in 10 of the losses. He did what he needed to do to try and field a more competitive team and he has done that. I think he'll bring in more talent before next year and they'll be incrementally better.

I agree with you to an extent, I don't think he can recruit well enough to have better players than 90% of the teams he plays, so at some point coaching guys up will come into play. I think his ceiling at Colorado might be 7-8 regular season wins? But that's pretty good for where they've been the last 30 years.

I believe the jury is still out on whether he is built to actually coach in college, not just motivation and recruiting.

Shadeur definitely seems like an NFL QB to me. I'd go so far as to say I've never seen a QB produce such high results under such crazy incessant duress in my entire football-watching life.

I've only seen him make about 4 or 5 bad decisions total in the 5 games I've watched. In that same time I've seen him make about 20 fantastic plays and another 100 or so good plays.

Also Deion said he “wasn’t built for the NFL” when it came to coaching at the next level.

He's said this before. I think he's being honest here. He's not lying like Saban did. He genuinely doesn't want to coach adults.

I think the OL is problematic. I think the DL needs to be imported from somewhere else
