Reading some of these comments from Notre Dame fans makes me feel uneasy. How can people have such blind devotion, despite the mountain of evidence, to an institution or a player that they have little or no connection with? It's as bad as any religion. Perhaps it's because Notre Dame is sports and religion rolled into one.

Laughing stock of college football for a very long time is about all I can think of. I can't think of any NCAA rules that tie to this.

Not really. They (Manti) had a fake twitter/Instagram account before the season even started. It's not like he just started creating this fake character after her death. This has been going on for quite some time in great detail.
