He said "she saw him"...not "he saw her" or "we saw each other".
Almost as if he was waiting for this to come out so he could say he never said he saw her that weekend.

The only scenario that will make me feel any sort of sympathy, or more like understanding, is that he's gay.
It still doesn't make what he did ok, he's a POS either way IMO, but being a gay professional athlete would be pretty much career suicide. You wouldn't be able to function with your teammates.
Has there ever been an openly gay pro athlete? I can't think of one.
